These pictures don’t do it justice! Please visit the NMMA at the Grafton visitor center. The memorial has been closed for a couple weeks to complete the finishing touches of phase 1 that we unfortunately could not complete for the June 6 opening event D-day! Old island tore out dug down and re based in with rock, compacted to sub grade for additional parking. New curbing dug down to sub grade to complete the curb extension that will flow into phase two of this beautiful memorial! Steps dug out and poured. Parking extension dug down and rebased and compacted to sub grade for new asphalt parking. ADA compliant walk ways and dome mats installed. Striping for cross walk area and parking. Boulders placed along walk for seating. Tarlton for the concrete work of curbing and ADA compliant walk ways. Byrne and Jones for the asphalt work! What an absolute Honor to be part of this history in the making! All excavation and sub grade work done by yours truly! Please share! Please visit! Please help donate so we can move onto phase 2 with the museum addition to house the Vietnam boat that was built right here in Grafton at the Grafton boat works! Now known as the loading dock.
