DID YOU KNOW?
Modular homes are not the same as Mobile/Manufactured/Trailer/Hud homes. While both are built in a factory setting, the biggest difference is the building code they follow.
Manufactured Homes : are built to the federal HUD code and are typically transported on permanent steel chassis.
Modular Homes : are built to the same local and state building codes as traditional site-built homes and are permanently installed on a foundation. Modular homes are constructed in sections inside a climate-controlled facility, then transported to the home site and permanently installed on a foundation. Once completed, they are inspected to meet all applicable building requirements.
