Last day of August. Five days until the Huskers open against Ohio at Memorial Stadium, 11am on the 5th. 🌽

Camp is over. Whatever got built in August is what takes the field Saturday.

Your year works the same way. Four months left in 2026, and the fourth quarter is going to move fast. The businesses that finish clean are the ones whose books are already current going into it, not the ones planning to catch up in December.

Nine months down. Four to go. Go Big Red.

Fun fact for fair season: the Nebraska State Fair dates back to 1859. That makes it older than Nebraska itself, since statehood didn't come until 1867. It opens today in Grand Island and runs through Labor Day.

Something to notice while you're there: nearly everything you enjoy at the fair is a small business. The food stands, the vendors, the ride operators, the folks selling handmade goods. Eleven days to earn what might be a huge share of their whole year.

Seasonal businesses like that live and die on their books. When most of your revenue lands in one short window, knowing exactly what came in and what it cost is the difference between coasting to next season and sweating through the winter.

Grab the corn dog. Somebody's books are counting on you. 🌽

Thank you M2J Creations !!!

I love how this custom wall plaque turned out with little instructions. I provided the magazine clipping and really gave M2J Creations free range on what to create. I trusted the outcome would be amazing. Why limit someones creativity! It is a great addition to the office!
