This is a big deal guys — someone pruned her first 🍇 vine today!!!

& all 3 kids helped me in the field!!! 😯🥰🤩!!! I mean they weren’t out there for an 8 hour day, but there is hope!

Pruning is not something we let just anyone do. It requires a lot of strategy and assessment skills, as well as an understanding of plant biology and vine balance. This young lady learned fast, and she’s kind of a natural! Super proud Mama!

Said helpful children were rewarded with — we were so pumped they were open on this beautiful but chilly spring evening! Best darn chocolate covered bananas around! Sooooo good — you must stop by this summer!

We have had some rainy pruning days, but the little things keep you going, like finding wool integrated into the vineyard 🐑🍇✂️.

We are so excited to bring the sheep back to the vineyard this week! It’s been a long winter, but Spring is here! We start again! Another trip around the sun, and so much opportunity! 🥂🌿♥️

Just a gaggle of pregnant ladies soaking up some Winter sun. ☀️ 🐑 🥂

The New Year always prompts and inspires planning. In addition to racking, disgorging and bottling in the winery, we also start to prepare for first, an early lambing season, and then pruning at Ellison Estate.

Despite feeling a little overwhelmed these days with the challenges of running a small business and balancing work and family life, I still feel so much excitement with the shift of a New Year. The prospects of another growing season, another chance to grow beautiful wine, to create meaningful experiences, and hopefully inspire and be inspired, warms my soul, just like moments with these woolly ladies!

Happy New Year from EEV! Come taste with us this Winter in Stowe!
