Culture Creative

Culture Creative Culture Creative is a leading national consulting firm specializing in diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging (DEIB).

We empower organizations to create communities where every person can achieve their highest human potential. Our mission is to work with organizations (non-profit, for profit, faith or market space) that want to create a business or a community where every person has the opportunity to achieve their highest human potential. Culture Creative is based on a belief that by leveraging our perspectives,

talents, and energy for the greater good, together we can build a more beautiful world. Awareness is the first step, but it's not enough. A culturally intelligent individual is not only aware but can also effectively work and relate with people and projects across different cultural contexts. Cultural Intelligence has three components--the cognitive, the physical, and the emotional/motivational. FIVE QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION AND PREPARATION:

Did you realize that we only have 20 more days in 2023?

While it is a time to rewind, review, and reflect it is also time to prepare for what's next.

In business, we often talk about assessing systems, processes, and administrative efficiency. Organizational assessment has great value for a leader to take inventory of the of overall leadership
impact.

But beyond that, the leadership must also take inventory of themselves.

Here are 5 Leader Questions for What's Happening Now and to Prepare for What's Next:

(+) Addition: What is ADDING to your life, mission, future?
(-) Subtraction: What is SUBTRACTING from your life, mission, future?
(x) Multiplication: What is MULTIPLYING good in your life, mission, future?
(÷) Division: What is DIVIDING your focus and distracting you from your vision?
(=) Sum: What do the SUM of these answers equate to and what do they mean for your future?

Get a journal, make some notes and answer these simple questions. You just might be surprised by what you come up with.

You’ve heard of colorblindness before, but have you heard of PEOPLE-BLINDNESS?

Colorblindness is the inability to see colors, people-blindness is the inability to see people because of the preconceived notions and incomplete paradigms in which we filter life through.
Paradigms are the windows we look through to perceive and understand the world around us.
When paradigm is shifts, it transforms the way we see.
To get it right more often, we have to accept our propensity to get it wrong. When we deny our people-blindness, the more blind we become. When we accept our potential for people-blindness the more we can see.
Let’s see ourselves authentically so we can see the world more accurately.

As a certified diversity and inclusion consultant at Culture Creative, Julian Newman frequently gets asked to define what an ally is in the context of the DEIB space. His answer? Believing that you do not have to have lived another person’s experience to stand with him or her in the face of injustice.
