We’re continuing our People Behind PES series by recognizing one of our very own Quality Analysts, Haley Sobie! She catches bugs before they even know they exist — you could even say she makes bugs nervous.

In all seriousness, our solutions, deliverables, and overall quality wouldn’t be as reliable without our Quality Analysts. Haley focuses on software testing, information gathering, and board maintenance for Clear Design and Interior Concepts. She also jumps in to support QA efforts across various other projects as needed. Haley’s attention to detail and collaboration help strengthen PES every day. Read on to learn more about her!

✨ What Sparked Your Interest in Tech/QA?
Haley describes herself as “very online” and a big gamer with a strong eye for UI and functionality. She enjoys being in a role where she can help shape solutions, work directly with clients and users, and ensure extensions are both functional and user-friendly.

The Super Smash Bros. tournament held at the Deemter house for our monthly activity. While Haley didn’t take home a win, she loved playing with coworkers and enjoyed the chance to socialize together.

📓 Advice for Someone Starting in QA or Tech
“Ask questions! QA and client work mean there’s always something new and unique. It never hurts to have more information than you need.”

As we step into 2026, we’re taking a moment to reflect on—and celebrate—all that PlatinumEdge Solutions accomplished in 2025. It was a year of growth, collaboration, and exciting milestones. Here are a few highlights we’re especially proud of:

• Hosted our first food drive – Giving back to our community is a priority at PES, and we were thrilled to host our very first food drive.
• Released two extensions – Have you checked out Air Master Systems or Konsol yet? Visit Configura’s CET software Marketplace to install one or both!
• Office remodel – We completed a major office remodel last year, more updates coming soon.
• First podcast feature – We were featured on Configura’s Snap Into It podcast, where we shared behind-the-scenes insights on building Konsol. It was a fun and rewarding opportunity to talk about our work.
• 12 major product line launches – We supported and released 12 major launches across our partners (and lost count of the minor ones!).
• 300+ LinkedIn followers – To our new followers, welcome! We’re glad you’re here.
• Migrated 9 extensions – We supported nine customers through not one, but two extension migrations tied to Configura’s major releases.

Every year, the PlatinumEdge Solutions team steps away from the day-to-day to celebrate our wins together at Kickoff—a tradition our founder, Timothy Deemter, carried forward from his years at Configura.

Kickoff is a one-day event dedicated to connection, reflection, and fun—and this year did not disappoint. Our amazing office manager surprised us with a full day of activities planned exclusively for our team:

✨ We began with a Paint-Your-Own-Pottery session, where we picked and customized our own pieces.

🍽️ Next, we headed to The Local Epicurean for a private cooking class with a three-course meal where we made handmade pasta and perfectly seared Umbrium steaks.

🏁 And to top it all off, we took over the Grand Prix for an afternoon of racing, axe throwing, arcade games, and friendly competition.

A full day of laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories—everything Kickoff is meant to be. Grateful for this team and excited for what we’ll create together in the year ahead!

🎉 Celebrating 8 Years of PlatinumEdge Solutions 🎉

This past Saturday, November 1st, marked a special milestone — eight years of PES! To celebrate, what better way to honor the journey than continuing the People Behind PES series with the person who started it all — our Founder & CEO, Timothy Deemter.

💬 What inspired PlatinumEdge Solutions?
“Small business ownership runs in my family, so the spark was always there. After losing my dad in 2016, I felt a deep push to make the most of life — and PES was the next step.”

💡 Proudest achievement?
“I haven't achieved much on my own — but together, our team has. From solving complex problems to building a strong culture and creating products with minimal maintenance needs — which speaks to the outstanding work of our quality assurance and developers, the vision may have been mine, but the success is ours.”

🏔️ Learned lesson as CEO
“I'm not a runner, but life is a marathon through hills and mountains. We have ups and downs; the important thing is to keep moving steadily. Some days will be spent running alongside the streams in clover-covered hills; others will be a blizzard in a mountain. But by continuing to move forward, you will get through it and eventually look back at the hardest parts as quite the adventure.”

❤️ What makes the PES team special?
“We’re all a little weird — in the best way. A group of ‘misfit toys’ whose diversity and different ways of thinking make us stronger together.”

📸 Favorite behind-the-scenes memory
“Our first office was in the back of an empty storefront in my hometown of Dorr, MI. We referred to it as the Radio Shack break room. It had two rooms, a bathroom and a spot for the coffee pot. We had to get the water for the coffee from the bathroom sink!”

🌧️ Fun Fact
"Rain is my favorite thing. As a child, we had a trailer at Sandy Pines with a metal roof, and rain would patter so loud you couldn’t have a conversation. I still love sitting on the back porch or stepping outside the office during a rainstorm."

Two weeks later, and we’re still buzzing from Configura’s Experience 2025 in sunny Orlando! ☀️🌴

We had an incredible time connecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and celebrating the vibrant CET community that makes this event so special. From joining in the raffle fun to taking home first place in the 90’s Party Trio category, it was a week full of collaboration, learning, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to Configura for hosting another fantastic conference — we’re already looking forward to next year!

Meet the People Behind PES – Nathan Gerken, Project Lead and Developer

At PlatinumEdge Solutions, our people bring innovation, passion, and creativity to everything we do. Today, we’re spotlighting Nathan Gerken, who serves as both a Project Lead and Developer for Teknion. In his role, Nathan helps coordinate estimates, assign work, manage branching, and lead client meetings — all while contributing as a developer implementing products into CET. Keep reading to learn more about Nathan!

Nathan has made an impact across several major projects, including automating a price book for Clear Design, developing the initial Novo extension for Fríant, and most recently programming WithIn doors for Teknion.

Although Nathan doesn’t have a formal computer science degree, he holds a PhD in Physics! Much of his programming knowledge was self-taught during undergrad and graduate school. (He’s also currently 3D-printing a full set of Mandalorian armor!)

Nathan’s first kickoff included a murder mystery dinner where he unexpectedly played Jessica Fontaine, a southern mystery writer — and made quite the impression!
