I‘d like to thank the individuals who’ve been helping me so far on my journey of writing a new book.
The book I’m writing is about human-centered business model design and innovation… designing innovative business models by explicitly applying the philosophies and practices of human-centered design. It should be out before the end of this year.
The book is divided into three sections. The first explores the business model and business model innovation. The second introduces human-centered design in the context of discovering an optimal solution to an unmet need. The third expands this to using human-centered design to explore and design one’s entire business model in a human-centered way.
I’m about 1/3 of the way through the manuscript – working on the last chapter of the first section. There’s been a lot of research behind this, but also interviews with 18 incredibly insightful individuals – each of whom I would like to thank by name for helping me get to this point.
They are:
Vijay Kumar of IIT Institute of Design (Chicago)
Anne Asensio of Dassault Systemes (Paris)
Ryan Anderson of MillerKnoll (Grand Rapids)
Dr. Cara Antoinne of Capgemini (Amsterdam)
Ken Milman of Marriot International (Memphis)
Mohammad Musleh of BEEAH Group (Dubai)
David Dombrowski of Haleon (Williamsburg)
Dr. Marc Sniukas – Strategy Advisor (Luxembourg)
Dev Patnaik & Ryan Baum of Jump Associates (San Francisco)
Larry Faragalli of Brightly (Grand Rapids)
Erica Eden of Citizen Collab (New York)
Kevin Budelmann of Peopledesign (Grand Rapids)
Kerry Bodine of Group of Humans (San Francisco)
Lisa Rose of City Innovations (Grand Rapids)
Mark Payne of Electric Innovation (New York)
Shawn Crowley of Atomic Object (Grand Rapids)
Bob Moesta of Re-Wired Group (Detroit)
Thank you one and all for a great journey so far. Stay tuned for more later this year! I think you're going to like the result!
