Form I9 completion is foundational to any domestic companies . This is just one of our . 💪

life was about to get a lot more complicated as pre-2020 requirements for in-person review of the Form I-9 and its accompanying documents was back in effect as of July 31st.

Here’s the quick scoop: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has approved an alternative method to completing the Form I-9 with its newest version being released on August 1st. To remain compliant, employers must be enrolled in E-Verify, examine and retain copies of all documents, conduct a live video interaction with the employee, and create an E-Verify case if the employee is a new hire (USCIS website).

It’s time to reevaluate your onboarding process. 😅
