Our next UNBOUND gathering is coming up in just under a week!

Join us Tuesday, September 8 from 6–8 PM for a cozy evening of Things Worth Passing On.

Bring a recipe, a story, a favorite book, a life lesson, a tradition, a skill, a song, a brilliant little life hack, or simply something you think other women should know about.

We’ll share, swap, snack, and spend some time talking about the things women pass along to each other that don’t always get the credit they deserve.

And our September giveback is extra special this month too.

UNBOUND member Mackenzie (Lindquist) Selliers is running the TC 10 Mile in support of Save the Boundary Waters, so we’ll be collecting donations at the meeting to cheer her on and support the work of protecting the Boundary Waters.

Come hang out. Bring a thing worth passing on. Leave with a few new things worth knowing.

✨ All are welcome!

Psssst: Want to contribute something but unable to attend the meeting? Email [email protected]! We’ll compile all shareable submissions into a document and send out to the group ☺️

Tomorrow night, we’re talking about something that sounds simple but can be surprisingly hard to make room for: joy.

What are the things that genuinely make you happy? What have you been missing lately? And how do we make sure the things we enjoy don’t always end up at the bottom of the list?

We’re keeping this one easy and conversational. Come ready to share, listen, laugh, and maybe think a little differently about what deserves a place in your life.

We’ll also share more about this month’s giveback opportunity: the United Way’s Stuff the Bus campaign. There are several ways to get involved, and we’ll chat about all the details at the meeting.

Joy doesn’t have to be earned.

We don’t have to put it on hold until the to do list is finished, the house is clean, or life finally slows down.

So, let’s take time to slow down and ask ourselves a simple question: What brings me joy?

Join us next week as we explore what fills our cups, what gets in the way, and how we can make a little more room for laughter, play, and joy in our everyday lives.

Community isn’t built by having everything in common. It’s built by showing up, sharing our stories, asking for help when we need it, and offering what we can in return.

Our Needs & Offers Exchange is a simple reminder that every person has something valuable to give, and every person has permission to receive.

Maybe you’ll leave with a new walking buddy. Maybe you’ll meet someone who can help you tackle a project you’ve been putting off. Maybe you’ll simply leave knowing a few more people in your corner.

We’ll also be giving back to our community. This month, we’re supporting the Supporting Our Grand Rapids Area Library Fund. The community has already met the incredible $30,000 matching campaign, but donations are still making a difference and helping ensure our library continues to thrive

Whatever happens, we hope you’ll leave feeling a little more connected than when you arrived.

What does community really look like?

Sometimes it’s gathering around a table for honest conversation. Sometimes it’s showing up for a neighbor. Sometimes it’s asking for help. And sometimes it’s offering it.

For our July gathering, we’ll explore the power of community through a Needs & Offers Exchange.

Maybe you’re looking for:
💛 A walking buddy
💛 Gardening advice
💛 Someone to proofread your résumé
💛 A hiking or kayaking partner
💛 Accountability for a goal
💛 New friendships

Or maybe you have something to offer:
✨ Graphic design skills
✨ Gardening knowledge
✨ A listening ear
✨ Resume or interview help
✨ Homemade sourdough starter
✨ A favorite hiking trail
✨ A willingness to grab coffee with someone new

The possibilities are endless, and chances are someone in the room has exactly what you’re looking for… or is looking for exactly what you have to share.

As always, we’ll also be giving back to our community. This month, we’re supporting the Grand Rapids Area Library Fund, which was established to help preserve library staffing following recent budget reductions.

Some of the best moments in community happen between the planned activities.

The conversations that continue after the meeting ends. The stories shared over snacks. The unexpected connections that turn strangers into friends.

That’s exactly what tomorrow’s UNBOUND gathering is all about.

Instead of our usual format, we’re creating space to simply gather, eat, mingle, and connect. No presentations. No agenda. Just an evening to slow down, deepen relationships, and spend time with the incredible people who make this community so special.

📍 Tuesday, June 9
⏰ 6:00–8:00 PM
🌿 Old Central School Lawn
🥨 Bring a snack to share
🪑 Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket

If Mother Nature decides not to cooperate, we’ll move indoors to our regular meeting space at Old Central School.

As always, we’re also highlighting a community giveback opportunity. This month, we’re supporting the Free Range Food Co-op and their Community Investment Campaign. There are just 3 days left to participate in their matching campaign, which means every dollar invested is currently being matched.

The campaign has already raised more than $20,000 toward the $25,000 match goal, with less than $5,000 remaining. If you’ve been thinking about supporting this incredible community resource, now is the perfect time to maximize your impact.

We are so excited to support our incredible friends at the Free Range Food Co-op as our June giveback partner 💛

Today, they launched a new investment campaign, and for the next two weeks, every dollar donated will be matched up to $25,000!

Not only is the co-op such an important part of our community, but they have also generously shared their space with us for our monthly gatherings. This feels like the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation and rally behind them as they work toward their goal.

For your convenience, here is the donation link, active now through June 10: https://www.freerangefood.coop/invest

STARTING TODAY THE 25K MATCH IS LIVE! We have two weeks (until June 10th) to match it!

DOUBLE your IMPACT and make your contribution today!

www.FreeRangeFood.coop/invest (or find the link in our bio)

All contributions received directly, by pledge, or through the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation will be automatically DOUBLED!!

This anonymous Owner decided to step up in a BIG way to help continue the momentum created by the 10K match that ran two weeks ago. Let's work together to achieve an even LARGER match to help us reach our goal of raising the $480,000 of funds that remain in our Owner/Supporter portion of the fundraising pie! ❤🐓

This gathering is all about slowing down, spending time together, and creating more space to deepen connections within our community. Bring a lawn chair, your favorite beverage, and a snack to share, then settle in for a relaxed evening of conversation and community.

📍 Rain location: 2nd floor of Old Central School

This month’s giveback partner is the Free Range Food Co-op. A donation link will be shared later this week for anyone who would like to contribute.
