And… we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming! This week’s 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘉𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 spotlight is Meg Piersma! ✨
Meg, a Design Team Lead and Custer “boomerang” who first joined the team in 2005 and returned in 2023! ✨ With years of experience, Meg helps guide projects from early planning and design through installation, building strong client relationships along the way. Her collaborative approach, leadership, and willingness to share her experience make her a valued resource for both her team and our clients. Get to know Meg, both in the showroom and beyond:
𝟭.) 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿?
I’m a boomerang employee! I started my first 8 years with Custer in 2005, left to move out west in 2013, and then came back in 2023. What can I say, I’m hooked!
𝟮.) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲?
I’m part of the amazing Project Coordinators team which just means, we take a project from the beginning with space planning and design, all the way through to project management and coordinating the installation and any follow up needed. It gives me a lovely opportunity to make deep connections with our clients! I also am one of two Team Leads and have an amazing group of Designers and PCs reporting to me.
𝟯.) 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 (𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀!)?
Wouldn’t a covered, outdoor patio with ample power options be the most amazing thing? I say covered because I’m as pale as they come and have to slather on the sunscreen any time I step outside.
𝟰.) 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿?
I enjoy being a part of a collaborative team, and Custer provides exactly that. Whenever I get stuck, I know I can turn to my coworkers for support, and I’m always met with helpful ideas, shared experiences, and fresh perspectives that help move things forward.
