We’re looking for experienced construction workers that want to grow into a new career as a Cell Tower Technician! We are seeking those with a good work ethic, a history of consistent attendance, and great physical strength and stamina to join our team. You’ll work under our construction manager’s direction, alongside a close-knit team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen, to bring our construction plans to life. The ideal candidate will have previous construction experience, and have knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment. Responsibilities

- Start with basic ground labor work, get trained (provided by the company), and advance to climbing and working at heights.
- Using hand tools and basic power tools to install equipment
- Distribute, pick up and organize tools and materials.
- Work with Foreman to analyze job requirements such as labor and materials.
- Complete work in a timely and efficient manner as delegated by Foreman and Construction Managers.
- Work with crew to maintain a safe job site.
- Assist with safety equipment setup
- Climb Wireless Towers up to 300 ft.
- Performing and recording physical measurements
- Installation of antenna, lines, and radios
- Accurately recording data and submitting via an electronic report
- Assist with technical testing (PIM, Sweep, and Fiber)

Qualifications

- A high school diploma or equivalent is required - Trade certification, associate’s degree, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred
- Comfortable working in inclement weather, like extreme temperatures, rain, etc.
- Experience working on a construction site, understanding of blueprints and construction plans, and knowledge of construction tools, methods, and equipment is required

The Foreman is responsible for the successful completion of complete site builds projects and troubleshoots. The Foreman is responsible for accurately communicating site status to management. The Foreman is the supervisor of the tower hands and is responsible for developing their skills and managing behavior.

Total compensation packages average from $31-$38 hourly. This includes a base hourly rate of pay ranging from $20 - $27 hourly, time and a half overtime pay, $1500 retention bonus, performance-based monthly crew bonuses, as well as other benefits such as per diem, phone/internet reimbursement, health insurance contributions, the company paid lodging, vacation time, and a 3% 401k contributions. Base pay is determined by experience, attitude, and performance.

Responsibilities

Managing the daily activities of assigned tower technicians
Climbing and working on communications towers installing, replacing, and repairing antenna, microwave, small cell, and other systems
Installation of hybrid cable and fiber
Performs a variety of routine, non-machine tasks, a set of ice bridge post, placement of concrete, site cleanup
In tandem with PM/CM, review construction drawings prior to site builds/modifications
Advanced knowledge in the use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment
The ability to climb tall structures with 30-50 lb. load
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot customer technology
Ability to operate sweep, PIM, and microwave test gear
Analyze Jobsite situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action
Ability to follow instructions

12 Months Experience in the Telecommunications Industry is Necessary to Qualify! Valid safety certifications are preferred but Augusta Tower Technologies will provide paid renewal certifications through its in-house training program.
