Ever had two reports give you two different answers to the same question?

Now picture that in a healthcare safety database.

One of our clients, a global medical-device company, was in exactly that spot. Data inaccuracies had eroded its customers' trust. Our team of six (US-based leads plus nearshore and offshore engineers) resolved the inaccuracies and brought two separate systems together so they work as one. Customer trust came back.

Pew found that when health records move between organizations, match errors can reach 50%. Getting data right is harder than it looks, and more important than most people think.

What's the most confusing "the numbers don't match" moment you've run into at work?

It's easy to be sure about the plan. It's harder to be sure about the results.

Brad Nelson describes an unscientific organization as one that's "certain with its direction and with its plan but is uncertain about the results." The alternative, as he puts it, is an organization that learns.

The gap is real. In IDC’s 2026 benchmark of 1,900 organizations, only about one in six companies that called themselves AI "thrivers" scored as mature once IDC measured them.

When did your team last change a plan because of a result?

One of our engineers, Steve, has been wrestling with a question a lot of us have been circling without saying it out loud: in the middle of the AI shift, what actually happens to craftsmanship?

Not "will AI take jobs", that's a different conversation. The one Steve's been sitting with is quieter: if code can be generated in minutes, does anyone still get to care about doing it well? Or does "good enough, fast" just win by default?

He doesn't have a tidy answer, and honestly, neither do we. But it feels like exactly the kind of question worth asking out loud instead of alone.

If you've thought about this too, as a developer, a manager, or just someone who cares about how things get built, we would genuinely like to hear where you've landed.

One year ago, Ralph Rendon joined Bravo LT as a Senior Automation QA Engineer.

Since then, he's been a great addition to both the Bravo LT and client team, bringing deep knowledge of manual and automated testing and a knack for picking up new frameworks fast. The automations he builds help his team get software shipped faster.

Happy one year, Ralph. Thanks for all you do! 💙

Most teams already have the meetings. The question is whether anything changes after them.

Brad Nelson calls Agile "the operationalizing of scientific thinking." Every sprint and every standup is a chance to check what you learned and adjust the plan.

That last step is the one that slips. In a 2026 Easy Agile survey, 69% of teams implemented less than 60% of their retro action items before the next retro.

What's one thing your team actually changed because of a retro?

Two years ago, Rafael Delfino joined a client's SAP team as a Senior ABAP Developer. Since then, he's been in the middle of one of the biggest jobs a company can take on: moving its core business systems to SAP S/4HANA.

The tricky part is that the business can't stop while it happens. Orders still need to ship, invoices still need to go out, and month-end still has to close. Rafael has helped his team make that move while keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly, and they count on his perspective every step of the way.

It's the kind of work that doesn't always get noticed when it goes well, so we wanted to take a moment to notice it.

Happy 2-year anniversary, Rafael! Thank you for everything you bring to the team.

Most conversations about "AI in documentation" are really only talking about half of what's possible.

The first half (AI as search) gets AI-generated hype. Point it at your tools, ask it to find what's buried, get a synthesis back. Genuinely useful.

The second half is quieter and more structural: AI as a reviewer, evaluating a draft against defined reader personas and your organization's style guide, proposing fixes rather than flags. This is the version that changes what SMEs spend their
time on 👉 validating instead of generating.

Most organizations haven't made this shift yet. The ones that have are shipping
documentation noticeably faster.

Not every decision deserves a two-week debate.

Brad Nelson's first question about risk is a simple one: what would it cost to get this wrong? If the honest answer is "not much," you probably don't need the meeting.

That matters more than it sounds. In a McKinsey survey, 61% of people said most of their decision-making time at work is used ineffectively.

Brad sat down with Bill Osborn on the Tech Week podcast the day of his talk at our Grand Rapids office. More clips from that conversation coming soon.

What's a small decision at your work that always turns into a big meeting?

We've been experimenting with something worth sharing: instead of using AI just to search for information, using it to actually review a document.

The process is simple in concept: a team writes a draft. You load a handful of reader personas into the AI (different roles, different levels of technical background). The AI reads the draft as each of those readers would, flags where it assumes too much, and proposes specific fixes. Style guide and compliance rules get checked at the same time.

What comes out is a draft that's genuinely close to ready, with whatever's left framed as specific, answerable questions instead of a blank "please review."

Has anyone else been experimenting with AI as a reviewer rather than just a search tool?

Two years ago, Ricardo Noyola joined Bravo LT as a Senior Mobile Developer. Since then, he's been building an e-commerce delivery app and the IoT-connected devices that work with it, and he's known for one thing in particular: when something isn't working, he doesn't force it. He scraps it and does it right.

That's why everything he ships is something the next feature can build on.

Happy two years, Ricardo. We're lucky to have you on the team.
