There’s just something about cool cars, good people, ice cream, and an even better cause that makes for a pretty great Saturday.
Last weekend, 859 Board Up was proud to cruise alongside Back the Heroes Rumble and ScoopAbles for a day filled with some seriously incredible cars and an even more incredible community.
If you haven’t heard of ScoopAbles, you need to! Located in Loveland, ScoopAbles is more than an ice cream shop. They provide meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, giving their team members a place to build job skills, confidence, independence, friendships, and connections within their community. That is the kind of mission we can absolutely get behind. 🍦❤️
And the CARS! 😍 Classics, hot rods, muscle cars and plenty of beautiful rides that had us stopping for a closer look. There’s something pretty special about seeing people bring out the cars they love while supporting organizations and people who make our communities better.
Of course, with that many classic cars around, we spent a good portion of the day looking for the Fonz.
We checked the cars.
We checked ScoopAbles.
We may have even been prepared to yell, “Ayyyy!”
Sadly, the Fonz was nowhere to be found.

But we DID find a whole lot of great people, some ridiculously cool cars, a wonderful mission worth supporting, and another reminder of why 859 Board Up loves being part of the communities we serve.

🔥 Supporting the ones who show up when it matters most.
When Walton Fire Department in Walton, Kentucky reached out looking for doll houses they could use to train firefighters on flow path and ventilation, we wanted to find a way to help.
While 859 Board Up wasn’t able to provide the actual houses for the training just yet, we were able to provide the materials needed for Walton Fire Department to build their own training burn houses.
And earlier this week, they completed their first training evolution on the first house.
For us, community partnership goes far beyond responding after a fire. It also means investing in the men and women who respond to those fires.
Training on fire behavior, ventilation, and flow path gives firefighters the opportunity to sharpen their skills in a controlled environment, skills that can ultimately help protect their crews, the people they serve, and the communities they go home to.
At 859 Board Up, we’re proud to support opportunities that further the education, training, and safety of our first responders.
We may work on the other side of the hose line, but we’re all working toward the same goal: protecting people and strengthening our communities.
Thank you, Walton Fire Department, for allowing us to play a small part in the work you’re doing. We can’t wait to see these training houses continue to be put to good use.

Today, 859 Board Up was proud to stand alongside our friends at Back The Heroes Rumble as a community sponsor for their annual car show honoring fallen Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Larry Henderson Jr.
Some legacies aren't measured by years, they're measured by lives impacted. Deputy Henderson dedicated his life to serving and protecting others, and although his watch ended far too soon, his influence continues to ripple through his family, his brothers and sisters in law enforcement, and the community he so faithfully served.
Events like this remind us that honoring a hero isn't just about remembering how they died, it's about celebrating how they lived. It's about ensuring their name continues to be spoken, their story continues to be shared, and their sacrifice is never forgotten.
Back The Heroes Rumble does incredible work preserving the legacies of our fallen first responders while supporting the families and communities they leave behind. We are honored to support an organization that believes remembrance is more than a moment…it's a lifelong commitment.
Thank you to everyone who came out today, entered a vehicle, volunteered, sponsored, or simply showed up to stand with the Henderson family. Your presence helped ensure that Deputy Larry Henderson Jr.'s legacy lives on.

A fire doesn't end when the flames are out. For many families, that's when the hardest part begins.

In this interview, our Community Outreach Coordinator, Jessie, shares what makes this work so meaningful, what victim assistance really is, and why 859 BoardUp is so much more than a board-up company.

After the fire trucks leave and the scene clears, families are left facing questions no one ever expects to ask. Where will they sleep tonight? How do they replace medications, important documents, or treasured belongings? How do they begin navigating insurance, repairs, and the emotional weight of losing a home?

That's why we're here.

Our role goes beyond securing a property. We believe in serving people through some of life's most difficult moments with compassion, guidance, and genuine care. Because while firefighters respond during the emergency, there's an entire story unfolding on the other side of the hose line.

🇺🇸 We are honored to announce our 2026 Back the Heroes Rumble Honoree: Deputy Larry Henderson Jr.

On July 25, 2026, we will gather for the 8th Annual Operation Never Forget Car Show to celebrate the life, service, and sacrifice of Deputy Larry Henderson Jr., who was killed in the line of duty on May 2, 2025.

Deputy Henderson proudly served his community for nearly 34 years as a law enforcement officer and was also a Marine veteran. His unwavering commitment to protecting others and his selfless dedication to service will never be forgotten.

Join Back The Heroes Rumble as they honor his legacy with a day of incredible vehicles, live music, food trucks, awards, and family-friendly activities,
all while supporting those who serve and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Happy National Donut Day! 🍩
This morning we dropped off a few dozen donuts around town because we “donut” ever take your service for granted.
To our firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers, insurance agents, adjusters and all of the people who show up when someone is having one of the worst days of their life thank you.
We're grateful for the partnerships we've built and for the opportunity to serve alongside so many incredible people throughout our communities.

Today, the team at 859 Board Up had the opportunity to participate in a meeting at Madi's House. What an incredible experience it was.
Madi's House is more than just a building. It is a safe haven for young people navigating addiction recovery, mental health struggles, grief, trauma, and the everyday challenges that so many silently carry. Their mission creates a welcoming environment where youth and young adults can gather safely, build meaningful relationships, access support, and know they are not alone.
Spaces like this are changing lives. They provide mentorship, connection, hope, resources, and a sense of belonging during some of the most difficult seasons a young person may face. In a world where so many struggle in silence, organizations like Madi’s House remind us that community matters and that healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and valued.
We left today feeling inspired by the passion, compassion, and dedication poured into this space and the lives it touches every single day.
At 859 Board Up, we believe building stronger communities today creates a stronger tomorrow for everyone. We are always proud to stand beside organizations that are making a real impact and investing in the wellbeing of our youth and families.
