Thinking about starting a business but not sure if the idea is really ready?

This two-hour workshop helps you take an honest look at your concept before you invest more time, money, or energy into it. You'll work through the key questions every new business owner needs to answer before moving forward.

We'll cover:
βœ” Whether there is real demand for what you want to offer
βœ” How your idea could generate income and what that actually looks like
βœ” Whether you are the right person to launch it right now
βœ” Licenses, rules, and requirements you'll need to plan for
βœ” How this business fits with your personal and professional goals

We'll also touch on funding options, marketing basics, and practical first steps to help you get moving in the right direction.

You'll leave with tools, worksheets, and free access to an SBDC business advisor who can support your next steps. A business partner is welcome to attend at no additional cost.

Having a good idea is just the beginning. Without a solid plan behind it, even promising businesses stall.

The Business Accelerator Bootcamp is a hands-on planning course that helps you work through the core areas of your business: marketing, finances, and operations. Over two three-hour sessions, you will actively build your plan, not just talk about what you should do.

You'll work on:
βœ” Business and marketing planning, including how to identify your target customers and reach them effectively
βœ” Financial and operational planning, including pricing, costs, projections, and expenses
βœ” Key sections of your business plan you can continue to refine and build on after class

This bootcamp is a good fit if you are getting ready to launch, want to formalize an existing business, refine a plan you already have, or move from part-time to full-time.

Bring a laptop or use the paper planning template provided. Either way, you'll leave with a clearer direction and a stronger foundation for what comes next.

Most small business websites look decent enough. The problem is they often fail to do the one thing that matters most: turn visitors into customers.

This two-session class helps you look at your existing site with fresh eyes and figure out what is getting in the way. You'll leave with a concrete action plan, not a list of vague suggestions.

You'll learn how to:

➒ Build trust quickly so visitors feel confident about your business from the start

➒ Organize your content so people can find what they need and take action

➒ Sharpen your messaging so your pages are clearer and easier to scan

➒ Identify common technical issues that slow your site down and hurt performance

Important: You must have a live website on any platform (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.). You will not make changes during class. You'll review your site and leave with a clear plan to implement on your own or hand off to your web professional.
