Some humbling photos from years ago. An old harvester with a front axle that occasionally liked to come a little loose, a self leveling cab that would sometimes self level at a 45 degree angle, failing software, and a forwarder with no heat, a broken fuel gauge, warn out tire chains and plenty of other failing components.
Looking back, there were some very long, cold winters and plenty of days when nothing seemed to come easy. Keeping the lights on and mortgage paid at local Napa's, over night shipping of parts and praying the right one came. Surviving on Stewart's pizza and thermos's of coffee. But those years taught us how to make do with what we had, keep moving when things went wrong, and appreciate every step forward.
There’s something to be said about starting with less. The struggles, long days, breakdowns, and serious perseverance make you appreciate where you are today that much more. There’s something humbling about struggling with no safety net and knowing there’s no one coming to bail you out if things go south. You learn to figure it out, because you have no other choice.
We didn’t start with the newest equipment or the easiest road. We just kept going. First generation- family owned; from start to finish.
