Missing the days when I had no worries. Chasing lightning storms in the desert, diving my naked body into the alpine lakes of the Sierras, running up volcanic summits. I always felt so alive and present in nature. I still do. But as I've grown and had children and taken on more and more responsibilities, these moments become more and more rare. I worry as a mother, a daughter, a sister. Sometimes it feels infinite. But then i lay my feet upon the mountain, kiss the sun with my skin and remember, even in the most overwhelming of moments, I ground myself in this sacred space.

I know many of you share these feelings, and in no way am I alone. But it still helps to hear what grounds you. For me it's this mountain, my home, the Sierra Nevada. So what does it for you?
