A doctor walked into the shop and asked if we could reverse engineer an obsolete screen for his sailboat. I always love a challenge, so I said yes!
Fast forward 3 days: we had the dirty original 3D scanned, converted into a clean, editable CAD file, and 3D printed! To be completely honest, we’d never printed a mesh structure quite like this before and weren't 100% sure how the printer would handle it—but the results speak for themselves.
Seeing the new print right next to the original proves just how powerful scan-to-print technology really is. This successful proof-of-concept opens up a massive door for us to replicate all kinds of rare, hard-to-find hardware for you guys.
