Protective Operations Support in Maine

When an executive, public figure, or protective team comes into Maine, reliable local support can make a difference in the planning process.

AK Security Consultants provides executive and private protection, advance planning, site and venue coordination, movement planning, and protective transportation coordination.

Every assignment is different. Our approach is straightforward: understand the requirements, coordinate with the people responsible for the operation, and provide discreet, professional support that fits the mission.

We don't need to be the center of attention. Our job is to help the people we're protecting go about theirs.

If your organization or protective team needs a Maine-based resource, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss your requirements.

When Did Being Featured Become Something You Have to Buy?

I get these emails fairly regularly.

"Congratulations! We'd love to feature you and your business in our magazine!"

"We want to highlight your accomplishments, your experience, and the work you're doing!"

Sounds great, right?

Then comes the catch...

"For just $3,500, we'll put you on the cover!"

Wait a minute. 🤔

You contacted ME because you supposedly recognized something worth featuring, but now I have to pay you thousands of dollars for the privilege?

That's not recognition. That's advertising.

Now, there's absolutely nothing wrong with advertising. Businesses need exposure, and legitimate publications deserve to make money.

But let's call it what it is.

There's a significant difference between a publication recognizing someone's accomplishments and a business purchasing a promotional package disguised as an honor.

As a small business owner, every dollar matters. If I'm going to invest $3,500 into marketing, I want to know who we're reaching, whether they're potential customers, and how that investment might generate actual business.

A magazine cover might look impressive hanging on the wall, but impressive doesn't necessarily pay the bills.

Recognition should be earned. Advertising should be transparent. And business owners deserve to know the difference.

Just my two cents.

People often search for “bodyguard services.” What they usually need is professional protection built around the situation.

AK Security Consultants provides executive, private, and close protection in Maine for executives, public figures, journalists, private clients, families, events, appearances, travel, and changing risk environments.

Good protection is not about making security the center of the room. It is about planning ahead, understanding the environment, identifying problems early, managing movement, and giving the client the freedom to focus on everything else.

Every assignment is different. We build around the client, the mission, and the actual risk.

Your security plan may look complete on paper. But is it clear enough to use when it matters?

AK Security Consultants is now taking inquiries for a focused Tier 1 Professional Security Plan Review.

For $299, we review one existing written security, emergency preparedness, or event plan of up to 15 pages and provide a report with documented observations, priorities, and practical corrective steps. This is a professional document review, not a site inspection or compliance certification. Every completed report gets professional review and approval before delivery.

We're screening potential projects while we finish the client intake process. No payment or sensitive documents are needed with your first inquiry.

Interested? Email [email protected] with a brief description of your organization, plan type, and approximate page count. Please don't send the plan itself yet.

We've been working on something new behind the scenes at AK Security Consultants.

Our latest internal development results show 166 automated tests passing. We're continuing to test, refine, and challenge the system before sharing more.

I'm not interested in releasing something just to say we built it. If it carries the AKSC name, it needs to be genuinely useful, reliable, and done right.

More to come.

A security concern does not automatically mean you need more guards, more cameras, or more equipment.

Sometimes the smartest first step is figuring out what the actual risk is.

AK Security Consultants provides physical security consulting and risk assessments for Maine businesses, nonprofits, houses of worship, organizations, and private clients. We look at people, facilities, routines, procedures, access, movement, preparedness, and the practical gaps that matter most.

The goal is not to hand you a frightening list of everything that could go wrong. It is to identify what should be fixed first, what you may already be doing well, and what actually makes sense for your operation and budget.

Not sure what you need? Start with a conversation.
