Between our larger projects we love to sneak in fun projects like this sign for a local company. Check out this video showing the process we use fabricating this three dimensional sign from CAD design to the final polishing.

From signs to hardscape to renovations…one company…many solutions.

Woowee…it’s been a spring. Here’s a before and after shot of our current excavation work. The area of soil was all over growth and treated as a ‘dump all’ spot for years. After we cleared and regraded we tossed on our CMP Attachments and soil conditioned the business out of the rough fill. We’ll bring in a little more material, seed and watch the white clover and native grass mix do its thing! We’ll have some content on the hydrobucket in the near future.

Shout out to Rock Solid Customs for crafting this tuff as hell root rake for our 35u from SR1 Equipment - Turner who installed our X04 from Steelwrist North America. Machine controls will be installed next month from NewEnglandLaser. Precision, efficiency and…fun!

Some days strange things happen. This is a massive 15.5” timber saw. I have been considering acquiring one but hadn’t pulled the trigger (see what I did there 🤓). A friend Eric had me by to check out his very cool tool collection and this beast sat among the many. He pointed it out, asking if I had ever seen one…boy have I. Seeing my interest he sold it me at a very kind price. Thanks Eric! It cuts like a dream….almost finish quality from a saw that’s almost as old as I am. Love it!

Today we’re working out some site buildout details addressing grading and design for clients in North Yarmouth. This CAD draft is the start to helping us and the clients know what geographic changes will do and look like compared to established conditions. Once we get elevations and slopes entered will pretty up the scenery before meeting with our clients for final input.

Last year we built a large deck in Portland. Today we stopped into our clients to review how the work held up over the winter months during some pretty harsh frost heaving in the area. Happy to find all is still pancake flat and plum. Frost can move anything, and it's always the things you don't want to have movement in that you notice...immediately and with prejudice. 😩With some forethought in the design you can avoid most of the challenges frost delivers but you can never 100% avoid its effects...it's all mitigation and the biggest component of that is building New England strong structures that account for all the various challenges it presents.

We recently met with some great clients in that were prepared with some wonderful illustrations to help us understand their vision for some hardscape and softscape changes to help with drainage and aesthetics. Successful projects take teamwork from the start.
