When the moment comes, you only get one shot. There’s no second attempt and no excuse about different conditions that day.

That’s why Clear Armor demonstrations happen in front of the people making the decision. A baseball bat to the laminate. A round fired at the glass. You see it work, or you don’t, and either way you know what you’re buying.

Security isn’t an industry where you can fake results. The product has to be transparent, the testing has to be clear, and the customer has to get exactly what they expect when it counts.

A security product only matters if it’s still protecting the building years after the install.

That’s why warranty support stood out for this district. Clear Armor’s limited lifetime warranty means the protection stays in place as long as the glass does.

Districts have to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, and this project was supported with grant funding. Clear Armor understood that process and worked within it.

Here’s a look at a recent Clear Armor installation.

This is the final step of the process. Once the laminate is installed, our team seals the glass to the frame. It adds another layer of strength by locking the armored glass in place, so the whole system holds together after impact.

Our installers are Clear Armor employees, not subcontractors. Every one of them is vetted and background checked before entering your facility.

Safety and security are not the same thing.

Safety film is designed to hold shattered glass together during weather or accidents. It is thin and not built to stop forced entry. Security laminate is engineered to reinforce glass as a barrier, slowing entry and buying time.

Many people buy safety film thinking they are getting security. These are different.

Clear Armor is built around one goal: making sure the people behind the glass are actually protected.

We hold patents on our products, materials, adhesives and installation process. Owning all of it means we control the safety outcome, from manufacturing through installation.

It also means the warranty comes straight from the manufacturer. The company that made and installed your system is the same one standing behind it years down the road.

“Glass is the primary point of mechanical failure.”

That is a key finding of a 2026 study by the ALERRT Center at Texas State University, which analyzed 54 K-12 active shooter incidents in the U.S. from 2000 to 2025.

The researchers documented nine attempts to force entry through a locked door. Six succeeded. In all six, the attacker shot through glass. No locking mechanism in the dataset was defeated.

A locked door is only as strong as the glass in it or next to it. In those cases the glass shattered and the attacker stepped through the opening. The lock did its job. The glass did not.

This is where armoring your glass matters. Reinforced glass is built to stay in the frame after it is hit. It may crack, but it does not open up. An attacker who expected to walk through in seconds is now stuck outside, working on a barrier that is not giving way.

That delay is the whole point. The study describes one incident where staff locked down 42 seconds after the first shot. The attacker then spent nearly three minutes trying to get back into the building and gave up. In another, the time it took to get through the glass allowed police to arrive before any student was harmed.

Compare that to response time. According to the FBI, education incidents in 2025 that relied on dispatched officers averaged 3 minutes and 10 seconds.

Three minutes is the gap. Every second an attacker spends at the glass is a second for staff to lock down and for help to arrive. The study recommends schools assess the glass in exterior and classroom doors and upgrade it where feasible. The stated goal is not an impenetrable barrier. It is more time.

If you are responsible for a building, start with one question: what happens when someone breaks through the glass?

We harden the two weakest parts of your building: your glass and your people.

That is why Clear Armor offers training alongside the installation. Our TruTrauma training covers Stop the Bleed and life-saving response, how to recognize when something is not right in your building, and how to respond in an active assailant situation.

Staff also learn how the installed product works, so they know what it will do when it counts.
