๐บ๐ธ Happy Labor Day from the Grayslake Business Breakfast Group! ๐บ๐ธ
As we celebrate Labor Day, we wanted to share a few interesting facts about the holiday and the hardworking Americans it honors:
๐จ Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894, when President Grover Cleveland signed it into law.
๐บ๐ธ The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882, with thousands of workers participating in a parade.
๐ผ Labor Day was created to recognize the contributions and achievements of American workers and the role they have played in building and strengthening our country.
๐ ๏ธ More than just the unofficial end of summer, Labor Day is an opportunity to appreciate the entrepreneurs, employees, tradespeople, professionals, first responders, small-business owners, and countless others who keep our communities moving forward.
And speaking of taking a well-deserved breakโฆ
๐ฃ GBBG will NOT be meeting tomorrow, September 8th.
Enjoy the extra time with your family, friends, coworkers, and community. Weโll be back around the breakfast table on Tuesday, September 15th, and weโre excited to see all of our friends and GBBG networking family again! โ๐ค
From all of us at the Grayslake Business Breakfast Group, have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day! ๐บ๐ธ
