So... life is funny, huh?
I put my little photography business on hold because I just didn’t have time to give it the justice it deserved. Clients were waiting way too long to get their edited sessions back, my kids kept me too busy to be able to enjoy it and it just felt like a chore to work. Photography is something I LOVE to do and never wanted to have a day I didn’t look forward to it. I always assumed I’d come back to it once my kids were older, but not in this phase of my life.
Then this week, after doing nothing with it since May, I got calls and messages and ended up with FOUR sessions booked - all for this week! Previously I would only commit to two each month, but now I just shot 4 in one week 😱. I don’t know what possessed me to say yes, but I was excited about each and every one and I already have the first of the four sessions completely edited!
Does this mean I’m back? Not necessarily. You still won’t see me around here regularly. I’m not putting any effort into promoting myself. BUT what this does mean, is if you want in, it won’t be an automatic “no”.
If you’ve been thinking about having photos for Christmas cards or you haven’t had family photos in 8 years or you put senior pictures off a little too long, just let me know and we will see what we can work into my schedule.
Now, a note about this photo - I usually keep things a little traditional, but try to do at least one or two more artistic or abstract shots in each session. It’s more for my personal exploration than the client. This time I got a wild hair to explore double exposure, and I kind of LOVE the result! It feels wintry and gets me excited for Christmas and hoping Starbucks brings back the Juniper Latte!!!
