Great day at the Great Falls Montana farmers market. Nice to see some regular customers and meet some new ones. Rock shop is closing for the week right now but I will open up next week on Wednesday from 11:30 to 6 PM with the same hours on Thursday and Friday. Be at the farmers market again next Saturday from eight to one and the rock shop from 3 to 6. Three more weeks of farmers market and then I will be switching to 10 to 6 hours in the rock shop starting in October. Also just sourced a bunch of antlers and dead heads as well as a trophy, moose rack from Alaska and another small set of moose spoons. Hey there, hope everyone’s off to a good Thursday! Just wanted to share a couple photos of two flats of new rock tumbles! Also took a bunch of photos throughout the rock shop so you could see how much inventory I have in here and maybe spot something that you like. I will be making displays and such with these new tumbles but will keep them in flats in case anyone would like any pricing on any stones. Also feel free to ask and I can do identification on anything just zoom in and screenshot a photo of the rock you like and send it to me and I will get you pricing. I’ll be open today until 6 PM. I’m located at 715 13th Ave. S. in the Town Square Market. I’m in Suite three on the main level. I’m open tomorrow as well on Friday from 11:30 to 6 PM. Saturday, I’ll be at the Great Falls farmers market from 8 to 1 PM. I’m located there up against the Civic Center in my permanent vendor spot right against the restrooms. Enjoy my 29 second video clip of a beautiful Brecca Jasper from Central Montana! This was self collected by me on Belt Creek! The creek is now almost entirely into the underground aquifer so get out there and find you some beautiful rocks. They are all mostly exposed!Rock shop is open today until 6 pm! Fun day out in the Little Belts yesterday! Found fossils and some ore specimens. One especially good one I photographed. Also some unique Jasper from Belt area pictured! Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start. I’m working on prepping up my shop for my 24 saw to cut bigger rocks. It’s an MK. Should be a workhorse! Hopefully if I work hard, I can get out this afternoon and get a hike in. Definitely will be out prospecting tomorrow and will be open Wednesday at 11:30 AM and will bring my most recent good stuff with me to show anyone who comes in. Also wanted to note that if you can carry in your specimen in your hand without a box, I’m happy to do appraisals for free if you’re bringing a box of rocks in plan to bring 15 bucks for an appraisal fee for me to go and look at all of those. Royal goof up on my part today dropped off a Subaru that was burning oil out in Ulm and left the keys to my rock shop and my spare car in the car when I got a ride back home. Talk about a disappointing mistake. Anyways probably not gonna get the rock shop open till 2 PM today. Getting a ride back out there to get the keys and get the shop open this afternoon. Sorry to anyone who is inconvenienced by this. It’s been a rough start to the day but hopefully I will turn it around. Hope everyone has a great Friday and a great weekend and God bless. ~Josh

Check out my short video of just over 20 seconds, of me extracting a very nice Orca 🫍 Agate out of bedrock gravel near Belt, Montana on Belt Creek! Hope you enjoy! These have really great pattern when cut! Check back next week to watch me cut this open on my saw!

Hi there! Just wanted to let everyone know that I’m leaving the rock shop to get some specific rocks from home for a customer from out of town. I should be back to the shop by 2 PM and will be open until 6 PM tonight. Also the rock shops open tomorrow and Friday from 11:30 to 6 PM. Saturday, I’ll be at the Great Falls farmers market up against the Civic Center near the restrooms from 8 to 1 PM and then in the rock shop to end the week from 3 to 6 PM. Hello fellow rockhounds! Rock shop is open and looks to be an awesome Friday we have going at the Town Square Market! 715 13th Avenue South is the building location. For reference we are sandwiched between the Goodwill and the Taco 🌮 Treat Amigo Lounge! (Yum!) Today there is a rummage sale/flea market in the back parking lot! Just another additional thing to check out if you’re here today and tomorrow. Also wanted to mention that I will be at the Great Falls farmers market tomorrow from 8 to 1 PM. My permanent vendor location is up against the Civic Center building right next to the restrooms. I’ll be in the rock shop to end my week from 3 to 6 PM. Also wanted to note that I’m open by appointment so feel free to message me and we can fit you in outside of business hours or find you something you like via text or messaging. Hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks for looking at my new rocks coming out. These are Mawaii Agate nodules from Africa just finished after 5 weeks. Also have some beautiful Belt Creek rocks and am loaded up on fresh estate silver rings and other nice estate jewelry! Look forward to seeing you at the market, the shop, or out on the rock hunt. Hi there! Rock shop is open until 6 tonight. Running a short errand but be back from 4-6pm. Tomorrow I’ll be open from 11:30 to 6 PM. Friday also same hours. Saturday I’ll be at the Great Falls Farmers Market from 8-1 right up against the Civic Center, near the restrooms. Later that afternoon, I’ll be in the rock shop from 3 to 6 PM to end the week. Closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
Here is a look at a really cool agatized quartz crystal, with great banding. I self collected this specimen in the Lewis and Clark national Forest near Helena. Also pictured is a really cool orca agate I found on Sunday on Belt Creek. I may post a video later to show it off even more. It’s a dandy and I don’t think I’m selling it going in personal collection. Hope everyone’s having a great week so far and look forward to seeing you in the shop, the market, or out in the hills, enjoying God’s creation.
