In the Chinese heritage, a pair of fish symbolize love and harmony, and is a motif used at weddings just like the “double happiness” character. Since the word “fish” and the word for “plenty” are pronounced the same in Chinese, fish have also come to respresent abundance. The phrase “fish in water”, in Chinese also, means to be in one’s natural state. To me, a pair of fish symbolizes my love for d
esign, being in harmony with my clients and having an abundance of creativity. And, when I’m designing, I am in my natural state. It’s a blessing to wake up every day and get to do what I love. I feel lucky to have found my niche so early in life. For me, happiness is trying to make the world a prettier place—one design at a time.
