The street softens as the sun goes down.
Tables drift out from the storefronts, white linens catching the last of the light. A bassline finds its footing somewhere down the block, and forks pause mid-air to listen.

Plates arrive. Neighbors wave from two tables over. The set list carries past Bond Street and somewhere a kid starts to dance.

This is summer in Great Neck Plaza, dinner served outdoors, music on the house.
