The High Priestess is all about divine female intuition, which every one of us possesses, regardless of our gender. She rules emotions, mystery, and psychic ability. Been heavy as hell lately. Feelin' kinda like the walking dead.

Sometimes, when I'm in an especially dark place, I need a little more tough love and a kick in the pants...and a little less coddling.

Maybe you're like me. So, here's a dose of some of that Tough Love:

Navigating the world of Shadow Work?

SAVE THIS POST: Here’s your Outlaw’s cheat sheet on what to embrace and what to avoid on this sacred, messy journey.

The path through your shadows isn’t about “raising vibrations” or finding the light. It’s about meeting yourself in the darkness with honest eyes and an open heart…..and discovering that your inner spark is an Eternal Flame.

It’s dirty, nasty soul labor, that can’t be rushed or “gussied up” for social media. But, I’ll be damned if it ain’t the most worthwhile work l’ve ever done...

The Magician is the #1, or first card along the Fool’s (Hero’s) Journey. Here, we see an apprentice. Working at a workbench, learning to hone their skills by working with the 4 elements: Earth (pentacles - our material possessions), Air (swords - our mind, words and communication), Fire (wands - our passions), and Water (cups - our emotions).

Woody Guthrie is an excellent example of what it means to start with nothing, using only your will and scrappy ingenuity, to move mountains.

You, too, can learn the complex language of tarot in simple H***y Tonk terms with The Outlaw Oracle’s H***y Tonk Tarot Coloring / Work Book.
