Last evening, members of Station 23, alongside Blooming Grove Twp. Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 and Lackawaxen Township EMS , conducted pre-season walkthroughs of the camps within our response area.

These visits allow emergency responders to become familiar with camp layouts, access points, building locations, and other important site information while completing pre-incident planning. Taking the time to prepare before camp season helps ensure a faster, safer, and more effective response should an emergency occur.

We would like to thank the camp staff for their cooperation and hospitality as we work together to keep our community safe.

Tonight, Station 23 trained alongside Shohola Fire & Rescue and Lackawaxen Township EMS during a joint vehicle extrication drill. Crews worked through multiple realistic scenarios involving several trapped patients, as well as a simulated hazardous situation involving a box truck.

Training like this helps strengthen teamwork, communication, and coordination between neighboring departments so we can continue providing the best possible service to our communities.
