The word “slacks” originates from the Old English word slæc or Saxon word slak, which literally means "loose" or "relaxed".

Here’s another simple branding tip (that rocks!) for anyone who isn’t a professional designer but occasionally needs to create social posts, use Canva, design letterhead, make office signage, or produce any visual materials featuring the company logo:

Please don’t separate or rearrange logo elements.

What I mean is don’t adjust pieces or parts of the logo to make them “fit” better in your space. Logos and logo elements are designed in FIXED positions, and should never be moved, used partially or have spacing changed. Even the SLIGHTEST distortion is instantly recognizable.

Branding is built on consistency. Consistent logo use isn’t just important; it signals professionalism and attention to detail. When a logo is altered, it immediately undermines credibility and suggests inexperience.
