As I've started re-engaging with my financial services business, I had to acknowledge that finances is just 1 of the things I enjoy doing.
Prior to financial services, I was studying to become a CPO(Certified Professional Organizer) & began being really interested in self-sufficiency, gardening, & learning healthier ways to eat & live.

In the past, I've tried to implement all 3 aspects at the same time, but also separate. These are the things I truly love doing. I've always had a way of explaining & training on things that make it easy to understand & acknowledge. Prior to Covid, I ran 9 Subway Restaurants for 5 years & spent 3 months as a Subway Restaurants Corporate Business Consultant after Covid.

So over the next few months you'll begin to notice a shift in my business to encompassing all 3 aspects of my passions.

Raven Ridge Financial & Homestead Center is a veteran- and woman-owned rural enterprise dedicated to empowering individuals, families, and veterans through financial literacy, sustainable living education, homesteading skills, and agricultural stewardship.

Founded by Crystal McFarland, a 100% service-connected veteran, licensed life insurance producer, Investment Principal, and the first female Commander of American Legion Post 64 in Greeneville, Tennessee, the organization combines financial education with practical self-sufficiency skills.

The business will establish a rural educational homestead in East Tennessee where individuals can learn:

• Financial literacy and wealth building • Retirement and insurance education • Homesteading and self-sufficiency skills • Herbal and medicinal plant cultivation • Sustainable agriculture • Veteran wellness programs • Women's empowerment workshops • Family preparedness and resilience

The long-term vision is to create a multi-use educational property that serves veterans, women entrepreneurs, families, and rural communities.

I'm very excited to focus on my next property purchase that will help me achieve this goal.

Hay y'all I'm back!

I've been a bit sidelined in my business over the last year & a half with all life has thrown my way. Hurricane Helene & the uncertainty in the aftermath was just the beginning of a mentally & emotionally tough couple of years.

Mom's passing, my foster sons leaving, becoming the 1st female Commander for American Legion Post 64-TN, deciding to sell our house & all that comes with that, cancer scares, a hysterectomy & I'm sure there are a handful of other big things that I just can't think of right now. So I needed the time to honestly process & work through things for myself & my family before we could progress with anything else.

So, yeah, it's been a heck of an almost 2 year transition now & I'm finally getting back to being centered & focused on what's ahead.

Getting back into my business & helping families no longer feel like they are drowning & are unsure of how to plan for their futures, as well as living a more holistic, peaceful life 😊

My colleagues in my financial services office will be holding a meeting next Tuesday, June 30th at 7 pm EST, to go over what we do as a company & WHY we DON'T CHARGE OUR CLIENTS.

Canyon de Chelly isn’t just a place to look at, it’s a place that has been lived in for thousands of years.

Long before scenic overlooks and park boundaries, ancestral Puebloans built homes into these sandstone walls, and their descendants still live and farm on the canyon floor today. Few landscapes in the Southwest hold this kind of continuous human history.
