“How can I get tested to see if I’m a match?”

Several people have reached out, and it’s amazing the support group we have.

Testing is done for free for those between the ages of 18-35, as this is the preferred range for optimal health. Above age 35 can still be tested, but requires a fee for lab processing.

The process? A simple DNA swab mailed directly to you! Swab your cheek, and mail it back!

Sometimes life comes at you fast and changes everything you thought you knew about the future and the plans you hold.

On May 28th, we were given news that broke us, especially at only 35 yrs old.

Keith has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone marrow cancer, Myelofibrosis, stage 2–3. Ultimately, the bone marrow is becoming full of scar tissue and is failing to produce the healthy blood cells his body needs. Chemotherapy and radiation are not treatment options for this.

We went to MD Anderson in Texas, where they have some of the very best doctors in the nation specializing in this disease, and spent most of last week there meeting with specialists. A stem cell transplant from a matched donor is the only potentially curative option, but it comes with several risks and a very long road to recovery.
