Kris Kokal married Heather Melanson on May 2 2020. All 10 ceremony attendees were thrilled to be present. Kris and Heather had wanted to share their beautiful wedding with all their friends and relatives, but alas, like so many other couples they needed to be flexible. Their work ethic is so amazing that the next day they were to be found trimming horses! Those fortunate enough to be clients of HorseTenders, rest assured, you are in loyal hands. Your horses matter to this couple. Congratulations Kris and Heather!

2020 Brings HorseTenders LLC all types of changes! All very good changes! Kris is marrying Heather Melanson this year!

Many of you already know that Heather is the go to person for HorseTenders. Together they are opening up HorseTenders to new ideas, ways to empower horse owners and ways to communicate the wholesome training methods for which HorseTenders LLC is known.

The first being the 3 or 5 Day Horsemanship Camps. They are now by request. Simple, just ask and Heather will schedule times and dates that work for your schedule. They will all be custom camps. Give Heather the laundry list of items you would like to cover, she will put together a tentative daily schedule.

Kris is a traveling book of knowledge. If you cannot travel with your horse, schedule Kris to come to your barn or group!

Only need a quick review and jump start for the spring? Then schedule a couple of two hour training session!

Want the full 4 week training program for you and your horse? Build a whole new relationship based on trust and knowledge. Kris does that either here at the farm in Greenfield, NH or at your place!

Kris still has openings for non sedation floats. Take care or your horse’s teeth and feet regularly to prevent a myriad of issues and enjoy a healthy happy horse for years.

Kris still has room in his schedule for people willing and wanting to take care of their horses hooves professionally, regularly and on time. Tired of last minute cancellations? lame horses? waiting weeks to be seen? Kris could be your Farrier and Barefoot trimmer.

Clients are always amazed by how much they can learn from a few sessions! Their horses blossom and the horse/owner relationship heals and becomes stronger.

What a great day! Dr. Nik Kokal and Kris Kokal floated Mustangs Asia and Brook without any sedation!! As many of you recall, these are our two MSPCA surrenders that we’re too wild to go to Methuen facilities! HorseTenders took them in back in January and wow what progress! No sedation needed!
Please call these two young men if you have not floated your horses teeth this year! Your horse will thank you for having these two float them! No stress and no drama!

Ok! Untouchable just three days ago! Then the 5 Day HorseTenders Horsemanship Camp started. From not being able to catch or touch her for the past 5 months to being lead down the 1/2 mile long driveway past a pasture of 10 loose horses in JUST 3 DAYS! Can I get an AMEN!

Our day at Nevins was a treat! Brooke’s first off farm experience was stellar. She took everything in stride. Never been in a crowd, indoor, trimmed or petted by so many people. This mustang is a jewel.

Come meet Brooke! She is our latest HorseTenders LLC mustang rescue. She will be with Kris Kokal at Nevins Farm in Methuen, MA on Saturday, May 4 from Noon to 2 PM! She has gone from frighten, lice covered under weight and scared wild mustang to a sweet affectionate little 3 year old mustang. Today she received her first bath! She practiced trailer loading without any issues! She is so willing and brave. Come watch how Kris Kokal works with her on her very first hoof trim at Nevins Farm on Saturday, May 4!

In January 2019, HorseTenders LLC adopted two mustang mares from MSPCA. They arrived in dismal shape from neglect at their former home. Our goal is to get them healthy enough to be part of the May 5 Day Horsemanship Camp.

Teaching people to connect with their horses, wild or domestic is our mission. We provide a safe learning environment for people and horses allowing both the opportunity to change their perspectives on how horses and humans interact. This year we have several horses that have had no previous contact or training experiences. Come join Kris Kokal as he guides you and these horses through the journey of a lifetime with confidence and kindness.
