That beautiful fall sunshine? ☀️ We love it.

The glare, extra heat and UV exposure that can come along with it? Not so much.

Residential window film can help make the rooms in your home more comfortable, reduce glare and help protect your floors, furnishings, artwork and more from fading - without giving up all that natural light.

And one of the things we’re especially grateful for this year is getting to do more of what we love right here at home in North Carolina. 💙

Palmetto Protection Films is a family-owned window film company serving homeowners throughout Greensboro, Stokesdale, Summerfield, Oak Ridge, High Point, Kernersville, Winston-Salem and the surrounding Triad.

We have a ghost in the living room, but apparently the floor is more upsetting. 👻☕😂

For our final Friday Film Frights, Matt lifted the rug, Kobalt started investigating, and I’m wondering whether we can just put everything back.

Ever rearranged a room and discovered the original floor color hiding underneath? 😬

Window film can help slow fading, but it can’t stop it completely. UV rays, visible light, heat, and the materials themselves all play a part.

We’ve had so much fun making these this month! Between Michael Myers, Dracula, the cauldron, Ghostface, and now our offended ghost… which one was your favorite? 💙

Same doors. A whole new look. ✨

That beautiful pattern on the glass? It’s decorative window film!

For this Transformation Thursday, watch Matt turn plain glass into a feature that adds character and softens the view between rooms—all using the existing glass.

I love showing this side of what we do. Sometimes a window or door just needs a little something to make it feel like it belongs in your home. 💙

You love the sunlight coming through your windows. You’d also love for your favorite chair to keep its color. So where do we start? ☀️☕

In Episode 10 of Coffee & Tint Talks, I’m sharing what we talk through when protecting floors, furnishings, or merchandise is a priority.

What are you concerned about? How much light do you want to keep? Is heat or glare bothering you, too?

Those answers help us choose a film that fits the way you enjoy your space. 💙

What’s something in your home you’d hate to see fade?

A palmetto, a crescent, and a window made just for Jacqueline. 💙

After a year-long renovation, this client wanted more privacy and help protecting the home she’d put so much into. We used decorative film for privacy, a nearly invisible film to help reduce heat while keeping her view, and a custom design for a personal touch.

Then she shared that we helped her “truly love our home even more than before.” 🥹

That means so much to Matt and me. Thank you, Jacqueline, for trusting us with your home!

If you could create a custom design for a window in your home, what would you choose? 👇

Ever moved a rug and discovered your floor used to be a different color? 😬

It’s Mythbuster Monday, and today we’re talking about something we all want to protect: the things that make our homes feel like home. 💙

Window film can help slow fading, but it can’t stop it completely. UV rays are part of the picture, along with visible light, heat, and the materials themselves.

The right film adds another layer of protection for your floors, furniture, and favorite belongings.

Have you uncovered a surprise under a rug or cushion?

We thought we had privacy. Kobalt thought we had company. 👻🐾😂

Apparently, a spooky mask is no obstacle to making friends when you bring your own toy.

This week’s Friday Film Frights comes with a real reminder: daytime privacy film doesn’t automatically give you nighttime privacy.

Reflective window film can provide privacy when it’s brighter outside than inside. Once it’s dark outside and your lights are on, people may be able to see in—even when you can still see out.

That’s why one of my first questions is whether you need daytime privacy, nighttime privacy, or both. 💙

Would your dog sound the alarm… or bring the visitor a toy? We know where Kobalt stands. 😂

A yellow front door with this much personality deserves a privacy solution that fits. 💛

This Winston-Salem homeowner wanted more privacy without losing the natural light or feeling completely closed off from outside.

She chose Solitude decorative window film to complement her home’s artsy style. It obscures detail while still letting in light and allowing her to make out colors and movement outside.

I love projects like this - finding something that works for the homeowner AND feels right in their home.

That beautiful frosted glass? It might actually be window film. 👀☕💙

This week on Coffee & Tint Talks, we’re exploring decorative film - from simple frost to textures and patterns that add privacy and become part of your space’s design.

A bathroom window, glass beside the front door, or an office partition can each call for a different finish. Some soften the view while others obscure more detail.

That’s why I love exploring samples with clients. We can look at both the appearance and the privacy you want before choosing.

Where would you use decorative film in your home or workplace?

We went to install window film and came home with jars of jelly and recipes. 🥰💙

Mark and his family wanted help with heat reduction and a look that complemented their existing storm door. We talked through the film options together, and Matt took care of the preparation and installation.

Afterward, Mark left such a thoughtful review, mentioning everything from the care taken with their home to the custom fit of the film.

But these words especially stayed with us: “A down home professional company with ethics morals and an excellent work ethic.”

Thank you, Mark, for trusting us, making us feel so welcome, and sharing a little homemade goodness!

Getting to know the people behind the windows is one of my favorite parts of this business.
