The benefits of our new facility extend beyond the manufacturing floor.

The additional space has also improved our shipping and receiving logistics, making it easier to move products in and out of the facility and helping our team work more efficiently throughout the process.

As we continue settling into our new space and working through a busy production schedule, we’re already seeing the benefits of having more room to build, move and ship our products. We appreciate the patience of our customers and partners throughout this transition and look forward to continuing to improve our processes and efficiency.

Two Avenger M50 Manual Surface Set Drop Arms recently headed west to help protect a major electrical substation.

Electrical substations require more than perimeter fencing. Vehicle access points must remain secure while still allowing maintenance crews, contractors, and emergency responders to enter when needed.

The manual Avenger is well suited for these environments. Its surface-set design helps reduce excavation around underground utilities, grounding grids, conduits, and other buried services. Delivered prefabricated and pre-assembled, the Avenger helps streamline installation and minimize disruption to active facilities.

Manual operation provides dependable access control without relying on electrical power or hydraulic systems, while its M50 crash-rated performance helps protect against unauthorized vehicle access.

We're proud to manufacture solutions that help utilities and other critical infrastructure operators protect the facilities that keep our communities powered.

Protection you can stand behind.

We’re moving!

This month, Barrier1 Systems is consolidating our manufacturing operations into one larger facility in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The move will give us greater production capacity, improve operational efficiency, and better position us to meet the needs of our customers.

As we make the transition, there may be some temporary disruptions and slightly longer lead times. We appreciate your patience as our team works to get everything moved and fully operational as quickly as possible.

One detail in the Hercules M30 Set & Pour Bollard installation process often surprises people:

No foundation rebar is required.

Instead, six #6 reinforcing bars are inserted into the prefabricated bollard assembly before the bollard tube and excavation are filled with concrete, concentrating the structural reinforcement inside the bollard rather than the foundation.

The result is a design that helps simplify installation by eliminating the need for foundation rebar, making installation quicker, cleaner, and more efficient.

The Hercules M30 is certified to ASTM F2656 M30-P1, demonstrating that thoughtful engineering can deliver both certified performance and easier installation.

Security doesn't have to come at the expense of accessibility.

Recently installed at the Oregon State Capitol, this perimeter security solution combines fixed Hercules M30 Set & Pour Bollards with strategically placed retractable bollards to help protect the facility while maintaining controlled access where needed.

For government buildings, historic sites, and other public-facing facilities, the challenge is often balancing security, accessibility, and aesthetics. The right perimeter security solution can help achieve all three.

Barrier1 Systems is proud to have contributed to this project at one of Oregon's most recognizable landmarks.
