Yes it is definitely too early to cut a Christmas tree unless it’s headed to the N.C. State Fair

The Eastern North Carolina Christmas Tree Growers Association display in Heritage Circle will feature many beautiful trees from across the state!

This load of trees is from Hickory Creek Farm Spillmans Tree Farm and Almond Tree Farm!

While you are at the fair, stop by and check them out! Wreaths, garland, decorations and trees will be featured to get you in the Christmas spirit!

YES, IT IS REAL!

Why is it important to choose a real tree for Christmas this year?

Real Christmas trees are 100% recyclable! Unlike plastic artificial trees that sit in landfills for centuries, real trees are biodegradable and can be turned into mulch, used for river and stream bank restoration or used as feed for livestock

For every tree that is harvested, 1-3 more are replanted.

They are constantly helping clean our air and provide oxygen to our environment.

Their root systems help stabilize soil, prevent erosion, and protect local water supplies.

Tree farms provide habitat for many species of birds and beneficial insects.

We had the privilege of attending a conference and tour at the NC State University Upper Mountain Research Station in Ashe County this weekend.

We are very fortunate to have a great research program in NC with folks who are dedicated to helping growers produce the best quality Christmas tree for your living room.

Unlike other crops, research and development of tree species takes many years. Some of these folks spend their entire careers laying the foundations for the next generation of trees.

We are so grateful for their hard work that will someday find its way to your home!🎄🎄🎄

SPECIAL NEWS DIRECT FROM THE NORTH POLE!

We received an email from Mrs Claus this morning announcing the dates that they will be visiting the farm this year. She wanted everyone to be able to plan early for their visit.

November 28th 12pm-2pm

She has made special coloring sheets for every child that comes to see them this year as well!

This amazing couple braved the thunderstorms this evening for a pretty awesome engagement session in the tree fields.

We are less than a month away from photo session booking for the Christmas season. The calendar will be live on our website on August 1st for photographers to reserve tree field times!
