Job Description
Vertical Vegetation Management, LLC. is a company specializing in aerial application and forestry management with helicopters. We are in search of crew members to employ for operating our helicopter fuel and chemical loading trucks, along with assist in other day to day task.

DESCRIPTION
This is a 5 month seasonal job with full time promotions available if desired. As a CDL crew member you will be operating a 4500 gallon straight truck tanker that on occasions pulls pup tanks and flatbed trailers. All Semi’s have a helipad on top for the chemical loading and refueling of helicopters. Your job is divided between ground duties of fueling the helicopter, mixing chemicals to be applied, and maintaining your equipment in working order. Work areas can be confined to counties all the way out to multiple states in the eastern USA. Normal operations over a month would be for example: work in a 150 mile radius in Mississippi for a farmer/consultant for 15 days and then make a long move to Georgia where we would work a 100 mile radius for a different farmer/consultant for 20 days. You are expected to be ready for work at daylight and can expect to work until dark. Though long hours are not rare, breaks and rest are common throughout the day in the form of watching the wind blow, a few hours nap and lunch at hotel, or waiting on the helicopter to arrive. This is farming so be ready to work when we can! You are the face of the company with their feet on the ground working directly with the customer. You will need a positive professional attitude and appearance.

All trailers have a helipad on top for the chemical loading and refueling of helicopters. Work areas can be confined to counties all the way out to multiple states in the eastern USA. Vertical Vegetation Management, LLC. is a company specializing in aerial application and forestry management with helicopters. We are in search of an A and P mechanic to manage the maintenance of our small fleet of aircraft.

DESCRIPTION:
Job duties would included managing maintenance on our 1 each; Bell 206B3, Bell OH-58, R44, and Cessna 182. To include keeping all aircraft airworthy by maintaining appropriate record keeping, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Each helicopter flies approximately 500 hrs between April and November each year. The Cessna 182 is just used to move personnel around and flies approx 100 hrs per year. It is an option if you have a fixed wing license and would want to use the 182 for field maintenance travel. Helicopter Annuals to be performed in the winter months at our Darlington, IN facility. You will have one other mechanic to help with winter maintenance and any assistance needed with engine/component swaps and/or other multiperson tasks but expect to perform simple scheduled inspections alone or with fuel truck driver help. Service truck provided.
SCHEDULE:
November 10th to June 1st- create your own personal schedule to make sure one turbine aircraft is airworthy and online by March 15th and the rest of the aircraft online by June 1st

June 2nd to November 9th- on call as required for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

200 Duty Days per year
"Duty Day" is defined as any of the following (1) A day worked for routine winter maintenance designed in your personally created schedule from Nov thru June. (2) any day you are called upon to come in for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance between June and Nov. (3) any travel day traveling to and from work.

PAY:
$90,000

$40 per diem

Local Stipend- $5,000/yr for living within 45min Darlington, IN

TRAVEL:
All winter Maintenance is performed at our Darlington, IN facility.
Extensive travel throughout the eastern United States is required. All travel expenses are paid by VVM. You are provided a single private hotel room or when at base a private bedroom with common kitchen/living room at our hangar accommodations built in 2018. Expect Airline and/or Service truck as your most common means of travel.

$1,946.63 per week! You will be paid a Salary totaling $15,000 May thru November PLUS+ $5,000 end of season bonus PLUS+ $3,360 in Per Diem will be paid at a Daily rate of $40.00. Per Diem is tax free. Per Diem will be paid on the same schedule as salary. This comes to a daily rate of $278.09!!!

FULL TIME:
DESCRIPTION
As a Full Time crew member you will be carrying out the duties as described in the “Seasonal” section above along with helping with other winter work that must be done. That will be assisting in ground equipment and helicopter maintenance. Winter/Spring spraying, external seeding, and fertilizer operations. This includes some travel though not as rigorous as what we consider “in season”. When winter work does not require travel to a job site you will report to our base in Darlington, IN.

$45,000 salary + $40 travel per diem
