Conflict, Transformation + Social Justice

Conflicts don’t need to be crises. A lot of people ask us about our name, Beyond Conflict. We have found that over the years, as life happens to organizations, groups and people - it’s only natural for conflicts to arise - internal conflicts about our values, ambition, boundaries, as well as external conflicts about budget priorities, strategic choices and commitments. Our work is about supporting groups and individuals through moments of conflict or disruptions in order to realize our collective dreams more fully. Conflicts can be a source for joyful exploration and deeper understanding.

Cheryl has 2 decades of listening to people one on one. Evangeline prefers to work with groups. When we met in 2014, we knew we could be a powerful source for good in the world - we fell in love and we chose to live together in Greensboro, NC.

Soon afterwards, we determined that we had business in common. Cheryl was an iPEC certified life coach and her one on one work fits in well with Evangeline’s 20 years of facilitating groups and trainings. We are passionate about grounding our work in gender and racial justice and it was clear our work had much in common. That is how Beyond Conflict was hatched.

We work with leadership teams, individuals, and whole organizations to provide education and coaching that is rooted in your values and customized to meet your immediate needs. Whether it’s tech companies, universities, or non-profits - we believe that transformational change can only be achieved when individual, cultural and institutional change align. As we navigate the work that is called for today, we practice honesty and compassion.
