GP Supply Company is seeking a hardworking, dependable, dedicated individual to join our team who will work primarily as a Delivery Driver and, at times, as a Warehouse Associate. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
• Drive a mix of pickup and commercial trucks in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner.
• Physically load company truck at the warehouse and verify the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made.
• Drive to the destination, confirms order with customer, unloads and verifies product, obtains confirmation signature from customer.
• Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on product being returned from customers to the warehouse.
• Work in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products.
• Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, or other power equipment.
• Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments.
• Support all operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all GPS policies, customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations.
• Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Inspect each pallet and/or case for proper quantities, items, brands, and identify any damages.
• Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; identify process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse and operations.
• Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.
• Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Day Shift: Monday-Friday
• Job Type: Full-time, reporting to Shipping Supervisor to coordinate priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NC Class C Drivers License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Three years experience
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs boxes to load/unload trucks and make deliveries.
• Must be at least 26 years old.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Forklift certified or ability to pass certification
• Must be organized and detailed oriented with good customer service and communication skills
• Motivated and willing to learn
• Clear speaking and attentive listening skills
