K.I.S.S. Day #5 Wrap Up

K.I.S.S. | KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID!

Four Days.

Four Ways to Make Business Easier.

We live in a DownRight Distracted world!

Were juggling meetings, messages, marketing, clients, and about 47 tabs open in our brains.

Why are we making business harder than it needs to be?

This week, I shared four ways to K.I.S.S. the confusion goodbye.

DAY 1: ONE MEDIA KIT. ZERO ATTACHMENT CHAOS.
Speakers, coaches, and authors, stop sending a scavenger hunt of headshots, bios, videos, and links. Podcasters and Speaking bookers are overwhelmed as well. Stand out because you are making them simple to find and book you. Put it all in one professional media kit. One link. One place. Done. (They will thank you!)

DAY 2: LUXURY LINKS. LESS SEARCHING.
Stop digging through emails for your Zoom room or calendar link. Give those long, ugly links an easy-to-remember name. A simple URL can save you time every single day.

DAY 3: SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE.
Some clients care about speed. Others want the steps. Others want to know you'll support them. Stop giving everyone the same sales pitch. Ask what matters most to them, then speak to that.

DAY 4: CLARITY OVER CONFUSION.
Your website shouldn't need a translator. People should know what you do, who you help, and what to do next in seconds. Thats what my 3-Second Website System is all about.

HERES WHAT ALL FOUR DAYS HAVE IN COMMON: Less searching. Less explaining. Less confusion. More time to do what you do best.

And it got me thinking...

What if we brought business owners together to discover simple tools, smarter marketing, and little changes that make a BIG difference?

Not another event where you collect 10 business cards and leave wondering what you just learned.
A real, hands-on experience.
I'm working on something called the Keep It Simple Marketing Experience. I will be launching the date next week. Stay tuned. Put KISS in the comment if you want to be notified when the Experience is happening.

Because running a business is complicated enough. Your marketing doesn't have to be.

Clarity Beats Cute.
And SIMPLE gets things done.

Would you come to an experience where you could discover easy ways to save time, simplify your marketing, and make doing business easier?

K.I.S.S. Day #4 — Clarity Over Confusion

Ever land on a website, read the headline, and think…

“Okay, but WHAT do you actually do?”

So you read it again. (Do you have time to figure it out)

Still nothing. Just fancy words wearing a business suit.

Your website visitors shouldn’t need a decoder ring to figure out how you help them. They came to your site to know what you do-so they can buy from you.

Here’s what confusion to clarity looks like:

Business Coach:
Confusion: “Unlocking your potential through strategic transformation.”
Clarity: “I help business owners spend less time working and more time living.”

Accountant:
Confusion: “Delivering comprehensive financial strategies for optimal fiscal performance.”
Clarity: “We handle your business taxes so you can stop guessing what you owe.”

Lawyer:
Confusion: “Providing strategic legal solutions for today’s evolving business landscape.”
Clarity: “We help business owners write clear contracts and settle legal disputes.”

Bookkeeper
Confusion: “Empowering businesses through streamlined financial management solutions.”
Clarity: “We keep your books organized so you know what’s coming in and what’s going out.”

See the difference? Same expertise. Less “Huh?”

That’s the idea behind my 3-Second Website System. Make it easy for visitors to understand:

What do you do?
Who do you help?
What should they do next?

Start with the first thing people see on your website. Say what you do in everyday words. Make the benefit clear. Then give them an obvious next step, like “Book a Call.”

You can be brilliant AND easy to understand.

Your homework: Read your website headline out loud. Would someone outside your industry get it?

If they need you to explain it, your headline needs another round.

Clarity beats Cute!

Let’s untangle your messaging?

K.I.S.S. — Keep It Simple, Speak Their Language. Day #3

Ever explain what you do and get a blank stare?

So you explain it again. With MORE words.

Now you’re both tired.

Here’s the thing: people care about different things.

One person wants to know, “How fast can we do this?”

Another asks, “What are the steps?”

Someone else says, “Will you help me along the way?”

Same service. Different questions.

If someone asks about the steps and you keep talking about speed, you’re missing what matters to them.

It’s like asking, “Is this pizza spicy?” and hearing, “It’s ready in five minutes.”

Cool. But is my mouth going to be on fire?

Try asking your next client:
“What matters most to you?”

Then build your answer around that.

Keep it simple. Help people feel heard.

K.I.S.S. Day #2

Luxury Links

How many times do you have to go searching for your long link to your calendar or to your zoom room?

Go search, or go find the document you keep your link. That’s time. Usually time you could stay focused.

I have 3 meetings that I attend a lot. One is at 6am every morning. Do you think I want to go searching for her zoom link when I can barely put a sentence together.
All I have to remember is Zoomwith[hername].com

I have hollyholliday.me as my calendar (hint jump on)

I can’t tell you have many times I’m on a zoom networking meeting and I thank myself for just typing in www.hollyholliday.me. I don’t have to go search for and keep me from concentrating on networking.

So let’s create your luxury url to make your life simple.

How does it work- we jump on zoom, buy your url and I hook up your link to the new URL. BAM SIMPLE

This week of KISS- I’ll create 1 URL for you for $27 or 2 for $47.

Let’s make your life simple.

Text me KISS 336-253-3971 and/or just go to hollyholliday.me and set up an appt

I love to speak. I speak about clarity-not confusion in your websites and marketing.

It’s all in one place.

I know you are saying- well I just have a folder that I attach it all in and then paste all my social links and then paste your links to the podcast you have done….

Well. Think of the person receiving it all. Total chaos. Now they need to go through everything.

K.I.S.S. -Keep it simple Sweetheart (or stupid) you claim it.

The Power of Staying in Touch

One of the greatest business lessons I ever learned didn't come from a marketing book.

It came from my mom.

Every day, she sat down and wrote a card.

Sometimes it was a simple "thinking of you."
Sometimes it was a thank you.
Sometimes it was a "hope you're feeling better."
Other times it was just, "I love you and I'm so glad we're friends."
Her notes got me through some times when I was living in NYC. It always felt like a big hug.

She would seal it with a lipstick kiss! She wore the brightest pink and red lipstick so it really stood out in so many ways. (She was a character)

There was no holiday.
No birthday.
No sales pitch.
She simply believed people should know they mattered.

Looking back, I realize she wasn't just sending cards.

She was building relationships.

In business, we're constantly chasing the next lead, the next client, the next opportunity. But the strongest businesses aren't built on transactions. They're built on relationships.

A handwritten note after a meeting.
A quick text to check in.
A congratulations on a promotion.
A thank you for a referral.
A message that simply says, "I was thinking about you."

Those small moments build trust.

People do business with people they know, like, and remember. Staying in touch keeps you top of mind, but more importantly, it reminds people they matter beyond the sale.

Some of my favorite clients have become friends, and many of my best opportunities have come from relationships that I've nurtured over time, not from a sales pitch.

In a world of automation, AI, and endless notifications, genuine human connection has become one of the most valuable business strategies there is.
So today, I'm taking a page from my mom's playbook.

Reach out to someone.
Write the note.
Make the call.
Send the text.

You never know what door it might open, what encouragement it might bring, or what relationship it might strengthen.

Business grows because relationships grow.

Who is someone you can encourage today?

Do You Feel Like You’re in the Wrong Room?

Your calendar is packed.

Networking events. Coffee meetings. Follow-ups. Introductions.

But your sales pipeline still looks exactly the same.

Here’s the question:

Are you networking with purpose, or are you just staying busy?

Business owners are constantly told to get out there, meet people, join groups, and say yes to every opportunity.

And yes, relationships matter.

Some of the best clients and biggest opportunities come from a simple conversation.

But not every room is the right room.

Are you spending time with your ideal clients?

Are you building relationships with referral partners who truly understand what you do?

Are you showing up where your business can actually grow?

Or are you filling your calendar because being busy feels productive?

The goal is not to turn every conversation into a sale.

The goal is to build real relationships in the right places, with the right people, for the right reasons.

Because sometimes the next step is not another networking event.

Sometimes it is choosing the right room.

How do you know when networking is working for you?

Today's Teachable Moment: The Power of Clarity Over Pretty

Can I share something I learned the hard way? When I kickstarted my career in the hustle and bustle of New York, surrounded by the glamour of big brands and talented creatives, I learned that every detail counted: the typeface, the shade, the feeling, and that crucial first impression.

I worked at iconic places like SPIN Magazine, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, and US Airways, where the importance of design was ingrained in me. So, to be perfectly honest, I firmly believe that websites need to be designed—tailor-made, unforgettable, and captivating. A website should stand out from the crowd.

I steer clear from mundane templates and the bland, generic AI-driven designs that make everything feel factory-made and dull. Design carries weight.

A beautifully crafted website fosters trust, evokes emotions, and gives you credibility. But here’s the lesson I had to embrace: looking pretty isn’t enough to make a website successful.

A site could be visually stunning but still leave visitors puzzled about what you actually offer. Confused visitors don’t turn into customers. That realization was a game changer for me. I transitioned from viewing websites merely as pieces of art to powerful decision-making tools.

Your website needs to communicate effectively in about 3 seconds:

- What do you do?
- Is this for me?
- Can I trust you?
- What do I do next?

Here’s where understanding neuroscience is crucial. People don’t buy just because something is attractive; they buy when their brain grasps the message quickly, feels secure enough to trust it, and sees a clear call to action.

Grasping how your customer thinks, decides, and buys transforms your website beyond just an aesthetic artifact.

That’s why I created my 3-Second Content & Design System. It expertly merges design, messaging, neuroscience, buyer psychology, and clarity, meaning your site does much more than merely look nice. It aids the right audience in understanding you faster, trusting you sooner, and confidently taking action.

The takeaway here is simple: Your website doesn’t need to showcase everything you know. Instead, it should make your ideal audience feel acknowledged, comprehend your value, and know what step to take next.

Pretty grabs attention. Clarity drives action. And when these two elements unite, your website evolves from merely having visual appeal to genuinely helping your audience determine, "Yes, this is who I need!"

Want to see if your website passes the 3-second clarity test? Drop a “clarity” in the comments, and I’ll share my insights!

I’m excited to share that I’ll be speaking at the Chaos to Confidence in Clarity Summit on January 22–23, 2026, and this one is close to my heart. I specifically am speaking on Friday, 5:30-6:15.

My keynote is all about clarity, confidence, and the truth we forget, people decide fast. In business, in life, and especially online. I’ll be sharing how the same high-stakes environments I worked in early in my career taught me the 3-Second Rule, and why lack of clarity is quietly costing businesses trust, momentum, and sales on their website.

We’ll talk about what happens when messaging gets confusing, when everything feels chaotic, and when you’re trying to move forward but don’t know what to fix first. This isn’t about perfection or pretending the hard stuff didn’t happen. It’s about learning how to create clarity that builds confidence and helps you move forward with intention.

The summit itself brings together speakers who’ve turned chaos into clarity and devastation into alignment, and I’m honored to be part of that lineup. Even better, a portion of the proceeds supports Confronting Domestic Violence, helping fund relocations for survivors escaping abuse.

If clarity is something you’ve been craving, I’d love for you to join me.

This is going to be two days of honest conversation, real transformation, and forward momentum.
