Box Culvert #2 installed at our Oakland Hills project. This one involved removing the old culvert, undercutting and prepping the creek bed, and installing the new box culvert. Due to the existing power lines, we had to set the first 4 pieces with excavators by swinging and crawling them into place underneath the lines. Shoutout to our crews and Obermeyer Agri Group on a job well done.

We are hiring a skilled Civil/Utilities Excavator Operator & Working Foreman to join our growing team!

🏗️ About the Role
Johannigman Excavating, Inc. is looking for a powerhouse leader who knows how to move dirt, install utilities, and manage a crew. You will operate heavy equipment while leading, coaching, and working alongside an elite civil and utilities team. If you have grit, experience, and a passion for building things right, you belong here.

💪 What You Will Do
Master the Machine: Operate excavators safely and efficiently for mainline utilities and grading.
Lead the Line: Run daily site operations, manage crews, and ensure safety standards.
Drive Results: Read blueprints, check grades, and keep utility projects on schedule.
Work the Ground: Step out of the cab to help the team whenever needed.

🔥 What We Are Looking For
Strong experience in civil construction and underground utility installation.
Leadership background as a foreman, lead hand, or crew manager.
A team-first attitude with a dedication to high-quality work.
Ability to commute to job sites within a 1-hour radius of our main shop.

Efficiency at its finest. Last week at our Oakland Hills project, we set 24 sections of 25'x5' precast box culverts—each weighing 22 tons—all in a single day.
