Happy Birthday, Matina! 🎊🎂

I could write out the same amazing things about Matina that I do every year, but I want to speak to this year specifically.

It hasn't been the easiest one for Two Tidy Tinas. We have faced unexpected challenges, which we are sure we are not alone in. And trust me when I say, we are extremely grateful for how far we've come!

But what is so special is that through the difficulties, Matina still shines. 🌟 It feels like she has an unending amount of optimism. Her dreams and aspirations for this company have not wavered. We have had to pivot some, but without her, I don't know where we would be.

Matina, I hope today and every day you can remember how special you are and that God made you to be exactly who you are. Our team loves you so much!

This may be an unpopular opinion for overstimulated parents, but we should never declutter without our children's consent. 😬 Let us explain...

Feelings of betrayal attached to items can lead to hoarding behaviors in childhood or adulthood. Although it's important to teach children the principles of a decluttering practice, we should always be careful to temper that with their emotional maturity and comfort levels.

Here are three ways to do that:
1. Positive reinforcement when they do let go 💓
2. Trial purge period for when their too young/non-verbal 📦
3. Asking them what they want to keep instead of what they want to donate/let go ✅
