Y’all missed us right!? We know it’s been a minute, but in just a few days Red Plate Special turns 4! Over the next 10 days we’ll be posting some of our absolute favorite spots that we’ve visited since the start of Red Plate. Spent the weekend in Columbia, and finally got a chance to stop by . Probably the best buffalo chicken sandwich we’ve tasted in a long time.. the buffalo sauce actually had a nice kick and the smoked tomatoes really shined through. The double smash burger with the zing zane sauce was simple, but really flavorful also. Oh, and try the abacus gold sauce, sort of like a mustard bbq sauce with some nice tang… and it’s vegan friendly too!

Next time we’ll be trying the chicken banh mi fries, and definitely staying for a game of pinball and/or Pac-Man. Next time your on Main Street, be sure to stop in!

Y’all… we struck gold with this one. is really LIKE THAT! Serving both sweet and savory biscuits and sides.

Our go to is the MB Biscuit & Gravy, you can get white pepper gravy or sausage gravy, but don’t forget to add the chicken! The biscuit is fluffy, the gravy is nicely seasoned and the chicken just seals the deal. On the sweeter side, the Frenchie is next level. It’s a fried chicken breast, sandwiched in between a French toast battered biscuit topped with syrup and pecan butter. Crazy right? We’ll it tastes just as good as it looks.

Funny how the word works right.. while enjoying part 1 of our honeymoon in the DR we met a couple who told us that was the best wing spot in Savannah, and after trying it out for ourselves, the lie detector determined... that was NOT a lie! We stopped in and tried their philly and 5 wing combo. Kelsay ordered their hot honey mustard wings, and Elijah went with spicy teriyaki. The wings were very well sauced, and very crispy. No hate on the philly, but we did ourselves a disservice only getting 5 wings a piece. More please!! See you soon 520! What’s the go-to wing spot in your city? Let us know in the comments!
