There is a law that caps what a credit bureau can charge you to see your own credit file. For 2026 that cap is $16.
Read that again. It means they are ALLOWED to charge you.
What almost nobody knows is the way you never have to pay it, and it is not once a year.
Save this before you pay for another credit report, then call or text us and we will show you exactly how to get it the right way.

The person your business needs costs more than you can pay right now. The biggest companies in the country solved that problem a long time ago, and it was not with cash. There is a small-business version of the same idea, and most owners have never heard of it.
Save this before your next hire.

Most folks only use half the law when they dispute an error on their credit report.

There are TWO places that dispute is supposed to go. Almost nobody sends it to the second one - and that's where the actual records live.

Comment TWO and we'll walk you through it.

You have TWO dispute rights. Almost nobody uses the second one. πŸ”‘

ProPublica pulled the numbers and it got almost no coverage: Experian resolved nearly 20% of consumer complaints in the customer's favor in 2024. Last year it was under 1%. TransUnion's dropped by half. Four U.S. senators sent letters demanding answers.

So the way everybody disputes β€” with the credit bureau β€” is running into a thinner and thinner process.

Here's what hardly anyone knows: federal law also gives you a SECOND, separate dispute right aimed at the company that actually reported the item β€” the bank, the hospital, the collector. That company has its own legal duty to investigate, and that's where the real records live.

Most folks never use it. And HOW you send it decides whether it does anything at all. That part is a conversation, not a post.

Let's look at your report together. The first conversation is FREE. πŸ“Š

πŸ“„ The SBA proposed changing who even counts as a "small business" β€” and it happened Friday with almost no coverage.

If it goes through, 110,000+ more companies become eligible for SBA loans and federal contracts. And for the first time it would weigh REGIONAL differences β€” because "small" in the Mississippi Delta is not "small" in Dallas.

Now the honest part: it's a PROPOSAL, not law. Nobody is newly eligible for anything yet.

But here's what almost no owner ever finds out. When the government proposes a rule, it legally has to open a public comment period β€” and anybody can comment. Free. No lawyer, no association, no trade group. πŸ”‘ Hardly anyone from rural America ever does. That is exactly why one honest letter from Greenville gets read.

There's a way to write one so it actually carries weight β€” and a way that gets skimmed right past. That part is a conversation, not a post.

πŸ“¦ A package showed up that you never ordered. That's not luck.

The FTC put out a brand-new warning on August 20. It's called a "brushing" scam. Somebody ships you something cheap β€” baby wipes, toothpaste, seeds β€” just to create a real delivery record, then posts a fake product review using YOUR name.

Here's the part that actually costs people money: there may be a note inside with a QR code. "Scan to see who sent this." "Scan to return it." DON'T. Those codes lead to fake sites built to take your card number and passwords. πŸ”‘ The package is the bait. The QR code is the hook.

You don't owe them a thing β€” you don't have to pay for it or ship it back. Change your shopping passwords, check your card statements, and report it free at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

But almost nobody asks the real question: they got your name and address from SOMEWHERE. There's a difference between your info sitting on a junk list and your identity already being used β€” and you can tell which one you're looking at in about ten minutes. Most folks check the wrong thing entirely.

Let's look at yours together. The first conversation is FREE. πŸ“Š

πŸ“œ Notary work quietly changed, and almost nobody with a commission has heard about it.

Notarizing over video β€” remote online notarization β€” is now legal in 49 states and D.C. California is the only holdout left.

Here's the part that matters: there's a bill in Congress right now that would make it ONE national standard and require every state to accept another state's remote notarization. It has NOT passed β€” treat it as pending, not law. But think about what it would do. πŸ”‘

Today a notary business stops at the county line. Under a national standard, your limit is your calendar, not your zip code. Somebody sitting in Greenville could serve a client three states over.

Getting set up now is cheap. Getting set up after it passes is competition.

And there are a couple of requirements most folks never hear about until they're already in it β€” one of them decides whether you can legally take the job at all.

Let's talk it through before you spend a dollar. The first conversation is FREE. πŸ“Š

πŸ“΅ Federal enforcement against debt collectors has slowed way down. Almost nobody has heard that β€” and the collectors already have.

Hear both halves. Your rights did NOT change. You can still make them prove the debt in writing. You can still dispute anything wrong on your report. That is still the law.

What changed is how likely it is that somebody official catches a collector doing you wrong. The referee is not on the field as much β€” so expect more aggressive, sloppier collection calls, not fewer.

So never pay a collector over the phone on a first call. Make them put it in writing first. And you can file a complaint yourself, free, without paying a single company to do it for you.

Now the part almost nobody checks: there is one thing sitting on a whole lot of credit reports, hiding in plain sight, and it is the easiest dispute you will ever win. πŸ”‘ Most folks never find it because they do not know to look for it.

Fewer people watching means YOU keep the receipts. Let's go through yours β€” the first conversation is FREE. πŸ“Š

πŸ–₯️ Greenville is running a FREE six-week AI Business Bootcamp β€” and most folks won't hear about it until the seats are gone.

The City of Greenville, Mississippi Delta Community College and the Small Business Development Center are behind it. Marketing, customer service tools, chatbots β€” the stuff that actually takes work off your plate. Cost: nothing. Call the city or MDCC this week and ask about a seat.

Now the part nobody says out loud: 91% of small business owners already report being overwhelmed by AI tools. Access was never the problem. πŸ”‘

And there's one thing most owners rush to automate that they should have FIXED first β€” because AI multiplies whatever you've already got. Shaky foundation? It multiplies that too.

Which one you're sitting on is a short conversation, and the first one is FREE. πŸ“Š

πŸ’° You can have perfect credit and still get turned down for a business loan. Most folks never find out why.

There's a number lenders run on your business that has nothing to do with your credit score. All it asks is one thing: does the money coming in actually cover the new payment β€” with a little room left over?

Come up short on that number and your score doesn't matter. And the fix isn't a better score. It's something else entirely. πŸ”‘

Nobody tells you about it before you apply. Most people find out in the rejection letter.

Let's run yours BEFORE you fill out an application. The first conversation is FREE. πŸ“Š
