In Loving Memory of Bro. Clarence West

The Brothers of the Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. mourn the passing of our beloved fraternity brother, Bro. Clarence West, who entered Omega Chapter on June 15, 2026.

Bro. West was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in the Fall of 1972 through Gamma Beta Chapter at Paine College. Throughout his years of service, he remained a dedicated and steadfast member of the Mu Pi Chapter, exemplifying the principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

His commitment to our great fraternity was evident through his many leadership roles, including:
🔹 Former Chapter Basileus
🔹 Former District Marshal
🔹 Former MSP Chairman
🔹 Undergraduate Advisor for Alpha Delta Omega Chapter at Presbyterian College

Beyond his chapter service, Bro. West was a devoted leader within the Omega Limited Scholarship Foundation, where he faithfully served as Housing Operations Manager.

Bro. West leaves behind his loving wife, two sons, several grandchildren, and a host of family members, friends, and fraternity brothers across the world who will cherish his memory and mourn his passing.

His legacy of leadership, mentorship, service, and unwavering dedication to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will continue to inspire generations to come.

Please keep the West family, the Gamma Beta Chapter, Brothers of Omega, and all who knew and loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

The Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. encourages all eligible voters to participate in the South Carolina Primary Runoff Election process. While we do not endorse candidates or political parties, we strongly support civic engagement and voter participation.

Early Voting is available TODAY and TOMORROW (June 17–18) from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Runoff elections typically have lower turnout, so every vote makes a difference.

Who can vote in the runoff?
✔️ If you voted in the Democratic Primary, you may only vote in the Democratic Runoff.
✔️ If you voted in the Republican Primary, you may only vote in the Republican Runoff.
✔️ If you did not vote in either primary, you may choose either runoff election.

The brothers of the Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. pause to honor and remember our beloved Bro. Jackie Williams.

A charter member of Mu Pi, Brother Williams helped lay the foundation upon which our chapter proudly stands today. His dedicated service to Omega, which includes his leadership as our Chapter's Second Basileus as well as his service as District Marshal for the 67th Annual Meeting of the Mighty Sixth District exemplified his unwavering commitment to our fraternity and to uplifting those around him.

His legacy is one of service, brotherhood, and excellence—values he carried with dignity and pride throughout his life. As we collectively mourn his passing, we also celebrate the lasting impact he has made in our fraternity and our local community.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to his wife, Mrs. Genice Williams, and to his entire family. May they find comfort in the love that surrounds them and in the enduring legacy of a truly devoted Omega man.

Rest well, Bro. Williams. Your light will continue to guide us.
