Hey friends, members and former members!!!!!🥰
Tomorrow (July 25) is the last day to pick up any belongings you have been storing at Nectar.

We will be opening up our space on Sunday July 28th at 9am for the public, to purchase all sorts of our goodies, furniture, furnishings, kitchenware, crystals, etc.

We have heard from SO many people that they’re interested in adopting items from the space that they’ve used or admired, so get here early! 💗

I will be posting some of the bigger furniture pieces on Marketplace, so if you’re interested in those please let me know asap!

I read a post this week that spoke on the topic of success. Our society seems to believe that success equates to continued growth, unending. That things that end are a failure, marriages, businesses, plans. We know that it is only capitalism that feels that way. Everything ends, including the pieces of our life that are wonderful, inspiring, joyful, and soul filling. Humans don’t go on forever, and neither does anything we create. Just like the seasons, there are beginnings and endings.

After 5 years of community, of growth, of learning, of connecting, of creating, I have decided to close our physical Nectar Community space here in Greenville, SC.

I opened this space in 2019, with one goal, to create a space worthy of authentic connection and community. A place where people could come to build their businesses, to connect with other incredible humans, to rest, to create, to grow, to heal. We did that, together as a community.

I opened 6 months before a global pandemic, you, the community helped nourish Nectar even when we couldn’t gather in person. You held her in your hearts and minds. I owe all my gratitude for every person who walked through the door, and helped contribute to an incredibly special sacred space for us all.

For me, this is not a failure, but a great success. I kept this space open for 5 years, and have been so proud of our community at each step. Our name, Nectar, is all about trusting our hearts to seek out nourishment from the sweetest nectar. I wouldn’t be leading by example if I didn’t also continue that in my own life.

For me, I am being called to rest, heal my body from all that I navigated physically last year, as well as spending more time with my teens. Who knew that teenagers need you more than school age kiddos?! It’s an honor to be here to help them navigate this space into adulthood.

Classes and business will run through July 24th, 2024. After that I will be selling furniture and cleaning up the space for the next lucky business to house their business there.

We will be having a special closing celebration, to honor Nectar and all that the space has done for us, in July. More details to come later.

I will still be offering community events around town, Qoya, kayaking, hikes, moon circles, and so much more. I will be changing Nectar’s website a bit, but I will still have a calendar of things we can do together as a community. That’s not going away, just the physical space.

Thank you to every single person who has helped our community thrive and connect over the last 5 years, you are in my heart every day.

If you have any questions, I am happy to answer!
In connection,
Sara

There are a few places in the world that feel like magic to me. Magic being the unexplainable way the land holds a space for you, speaks to you, and nurtures you.
We began our Nectar Rest Retreat, here at Sandhill House in Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal, Ireland last night.
I’m feeling so blessed to be here in this space, with these women, for this week.
Honoring the journeys that had to be made for us all to dive into rest.💚

With rest comes moments of great clarity.
It helps to clear the path to be able to “see the light.” Once illuminated, we’re able to go in the direction that serves our highest good, our growth, to find and revel in our joy.
Sometimes learning to rest requires us to commit to a journey (metaphorically and sometimes literally), dedicated to the pursuit of finding peace of heart, mind, and body.

Rest does not come easily all the time, sometimes it must be fought for, received, surrendered to, looked for, or practiced before it can be familiar or accessed.

Our Nectar Rest Retreat in Ireland in September/Oct this year will be just such an invitation. To take a pilgrimage to connect with and find right relationship with rest.
We still have a handful of spots left for those who are called to rest in one of the most peaceful places. Join us in Donegal, Ireland for a week of connection to the earth, to rest, and with community.💚
We would love to have you join us! 🍀

About Nectar Community

Hummingbirds fly a thousand miles, only to stop and sip on the nectar that nourishes them the most. Nectar Community supports the women of Greenville, SC to live intentionally nourishing lives. Like the hummingbird, we hope to support women in choosing themselves and what feels true to them and their lives at all times.

It all started off as a whisper, a deep stirring in the belly, a feeling in the air. The world is shifting, and we have been called to take action on behalf of all of us. The old paradigms of birth - school - work - (maybe family) - death, is not only archaic, but it is breaking us all in a million fragmented pieces. It is not any one of those aspects that is particularly grueling, but rather the lack of support to listen to one’s own internal guidance, and the lack of community support that is making this hustle life unbearable for most of us. Humans are meant to co-create, to support one another, to form communities, to bond and attach to others not only for survival, but to thrive. We’ve been doing it for thousands of years, but something has gotten lost as we’ve become more connected to our phones, our streaming tv platforms, and our need to keep earning more and more money to survive. At Nectar, we’ve decided to encourage the pendulum swing the opposite direction. We envision a world where women no longer feel the need to compete, to judge each other or themselves, but rather build new societies on the foundation of collaboration, support, encouragement, and authenticity. We believe that when given the opportunity to form deep, honest, and sincere connections, women come together to build a better world for all of us. Nectar Community was dreamed up by more than just Sara and Sarah, the co-founders, it has been dreamed up in thousands of us. This isn’t new what we are doing, but it feels revolutionary. We’re claiming physical space as our own, to help anchor this energy of community in the fertile soil of Greenville, SC, and hopefully soon, growing all over the world. Sara heard in her heart clearly, “build the community... and the community will build the space.” That is what we at Nectar are doing. We are starting here, building community. We know that the space is only a gathering place for us, the real heart of this is YOU! It’s the incredible women who make up this community! Our physical space will offer co-working during the daytime hours, with access to a conference room, a private office, and a collaborative space for doing whatever it is you’re called to do (work/create/connect/dream). In the evening and on weekends our members will have access to classes taught by Nectar Community members, movement (including Qoya classes), art, writing, business building, (the sky is the limit), as well they’ll receive discounts on longer workshops and classes taught by outside presenters. Nectar will open its doors to outside folks for space rentals based on availability. We are working on an online Nectar Community as well, with more info coming soon, for all of those who live outside of the Upstate, SC area! Welcome to Nectar Community!
