Aquasan Network

Aquasan Network AquaSan Network specializes in solar development and water management. Our goal as entrepreneurs is to rethink the way we use water and energy.

AquaSan Network, Inc. (“AquaSan”) is celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2013 as a water and energy company that helps its customers monetize and accrue savings from its investments in water and energy management (www.AquaSan.biz). Our customers include International (India, Philippines, Africa & Israel) Federal (U.S. Government, Forest Service and Department of Justice), State (Colorado, & Virgini

a, California), County (Arapahoe, Jefferson, Mesa), and local (Lakewood, Westminster, Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District, Grand Junction, Cherry Hills Village, Littleton, etc.) governments, non-profit (including University of Colorado and Tanguayh Foundation) and for-profit corporations (Florida Power and Light, Kinder Morgan, Invenergy, Enron, Koelbel, Alperts, Red Peak and Trammel Crow). AquaSan is focused on helping our clients achieve their goals and save capital during the process. For some, it’s additional water and/or energy and others it’s the reduction of costs or monetizing their assets. We accomplish these tasks through a combination of entrepreneurial spirit and science. AquaSan believes “you cannot manage what you cannot measure” and invests significant time inventorying the client’s water and energy demands. For example, AquaSan has helped clients identify their water right opportunities, obtained the necessary decrees and identified internal uses to reduce client’s costs and also identify markets for the sale or lease of these water rights. Most recently, AquaSan identified leakage under the Cherry Creek Dam as a source of “new water” in the Cherry Creek, which our client, Cherry Creek Valley, obtained a water right. That water right, along with the non-tributary and storage water rights AquaSan developed for the District, has resulted in a water right that can produce in excess of 1,000 acre feet/year for the District. The District is presently using that water to irrigate a golf course and the surrounding homes. Additional markets have been identified by AquaSan that include local parks and schools. AquaSan has used its expertise in energy and water to reduce the costs to the City of Huron, CA for its water and wastewater operations. AquaSan personnel sized and developed a solar project for the City that reduced its power bill and established a more efficient pumping and aeration system for its water and wastewater facilities that resulted in reduced operational costs and provided the city a much needed “sustainable” image. Additionally, AquaSan helps bring science and profitability to water management. AquaSan identified that water conservation was based on water demand assumptions not supported by data. By placing remote sensors on meters AquaSan was able to determine precisely where, when and how much water is being used in a building. That data provided the necessary information to efficaciously invest in water conservation by our clients and also significantly reduced their impact fees and infrastructure requirements. For example, two clients, one in Louisville and the other in Glendale were being required to install a new sewer line because of the increased load they were placing on the city’s existing facilities. AquaSan data logged the water use and sewer flows that were being contributed by our client’s new project and determined that the contribution was less than half of what the cities were projecting and our clients avoided expenses associated with these infrastructure improvements. For other clients we provide demand data and water and energy management programs for their buildings to become LEED certified. Our range of analysis includes office, residential, hotels, and industrial uses. Again, by applying science and accurately measuring demands AquaSan is able to recommend a management program that saves water and energy, and reduces the client’s costs and the client building’s associated water and sewer impact fees.
