We’ve officially entered stone fruit season!
Did you know that Viognier grapes are made up of the same flavor molecules as peaches, nectarines, and apricots? When you smell a glass of Viognier and think, “Wow, this reminds me of a fresh nectarine,” that’s because, on a microscopic scale, it actually contains the exact same chemical ingredients. Sharing a recipe for fragrance and flavor on a molecular level, Viognier and these stone fruits were made to go together.
So, what summer dishes will you be pairing with our 2024 Viognier? 🍑🥂
Some Ideas:
• Grilled peaches and burrata with crusty bread (Be sure to visit our friends at Chiles Peach Orchard to stock up!)
• Apricot-glazed pork chops or pork chops with peach salsa
• Flatbread or galette with pesto, prosciutto, and nectarines
• Stone fruit panzanella or shaved salad
• Tarts, cobblers, and pies!
