👏 Thank you to this week’s speaker, Tammy Branham with First Merchants!
Tammy joined us on August 25th and shared some incredibly important information about fraud prevention and debt consolidation.

🚨Fraud is everywhere, and scammers are getting more convincing. Tammy walked us through different types of fraud happening right now, the red flags to watch for, and the kinds of questions scammers may ask.

One of the biggest reminders: Never give out your banking information over the phone. If something doesn’t feel right, stop and contact your bank directly using a trusted phone number.

💳 Tammy also discussed debt consolidation and the many options available. Her advice? Explore your options before immediately turning to a debt-relief agency. An offer may look great upfront, but depending on the terms, you could end up paying considerably more in the long run.

A big thank you to Julie Chambers with The Chase Agency for speaking with Southside Business Partners this week!

Julie shared some incredibly helpful information about what to do after flooding or a natural disaster, including how to navigate getting assistance through FEMA and other resources that may be available when insurance doesn’t cover everything.

One of the biggest takeaways: know what resources are available BEFORE you need them! Having the right information and knowing where to turn can make an already stressful situation much easier to navigate.

Julie and The Chase Agency are a great local resource for both personal and business insurance needs.

This week's Southside Business Partners featured speaker was Dr. Blake Amonett, DC, with Amonett Chiropractic!

Dr. Blake, who practices Gonstead Chiropractic, discussed the benefits of chiropractic care and the effects that food additives can have on our overall wellness.

Many of today's processed foods contain additives that help improve shelf life, flavor, texture, and appearance. While many are considered safe within approved limits, research suggests that regularly consuming highly processed foods may contribute to chronic health issues over time. His presentation encouraged us to be more mindful of the foods we eat and to focus on simple, real ingredients whenever possible.
