I am in search of a helper dog to donate their services occasionally to dogs in need. This would be a dog who is bomb proof gentle in nature and is not easily phased. Sessions are done very strategically and very safely and the process is very gradual. I care for dogs who struggle with anxiety and fear based behaviors. Dogs are powerful teachers. This would be a volunteer position to start but a huge way to make an impact in someone's life. I will be handling the dog during the sessions to make sure that professional care is offered throughout the whole session. Sessions with the dog are five minutes to an hour depending on the comfort level of the dog I am working with and the dogs will not be nose to nose we will be working from a distance to start. Lower energy calmer nature preferred. I do a lot of nose work in my sessions. Please reach out if you have a dog who fits what I am looking for. I am bonded and insured and my goal is to make sure that everyone is safe and comfortable throughout all my sessions.

What looks like tossing treats to the un knowing is actually a powerful technique to build value leadership. Food used appropriately can be used to control the energy movement and stimulus the goal here is that she joins up with me so that she learns to trust me as the navigator. This is not a bribe. By using a primary resource we can build up our authority in a way that is not only kind but builds trust. Eventually you will wean off the treats. Remember that the most important tool in your toolbox is your own energy. Real obedience can only be gaines through trust. The goal is build reliability so your best friend can be passenger putting you in the position of pilot.

Teaching your dog to spin is a feeling of courage trust and empowerment. Do not over do it but its a great technique you can learn to improve handler engagement and courage in the outside world.
