It's been a busy evening for Gretna Fire Rescue Department. At 2007 we were dispatched to I-10 MM 171 for a motor vehicle crash involving two passenger vehicles and 18 wheeler. A passenger truck overturned with an ejection. No other injuries reported. Mutual aid was provided by Midway Fire And Rescue Service and Greensboro VFD. Additional Resources were Gadsden County Emergency Services and Survival Flight. Great team work by all.

As we were clearing that scene, we were dispatched for another landing-zone for Air Methods.

On Friday and Saturday, Gretna Fire Rescue Department, Midway Fire And Rescue Service along side a great crew from Gadsden County Emergency Services, Matt and Nataly had the privilege of providing first responder services to the annual Big Bend Rodeo. A huge shoutnout to the Gadsden County Horsemans Association for another great event and huge success.

Today at 12:08 PM Gretna Fire Rescue Department was dispatched to provide mutual aid to Robertsville VFD for a structure fire. Upon arrival personnel found a fully engulfed home and initial attacks began. These efforts were supported by Mt. Pleasant, FL Volunteer Fire Department, Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Dept, Midway Fire And Rescue Service and the City of Quincy Fire Department.

A huge THANK YOU to City of Chattahoochee Fire Department and Sycamore standing by for additional water support and man-power.

Additional supportive resources were provided by Gadsden County Emergency Services and Gadsden County Sheriff's Office - Morris A. Young, Sheriff.

While the structure was a total loss NO injuries were reported during the incident.

On July 23rd at 20:39, Gretna Fire Rescue Department was dispatched to the corner of Beech Ave. and 4th Street for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival personnel found an abandoned property where a homeless individual started a charcoal grill under the front porch. Damage was contained to the porch area of the home. No injuries were reported during the incident. The incident was was at 21:50. Huge shout out to our Mutual Aid partners Mt. Pleasant, FL Volunteer Fire Department for there support.

At 15:31 hours today, Gretna Fire Rescue Department was dispatched to provide mutual aid to the of Quincy Florida, Fire Department for a structure fire. Upon arrival personnel found a fully involved house fire. Personnel from Quincy and Gretna initiated an initial attack. Midway Fire And Rescue Service provided additional pumper resources. Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Dept, Mt. Pleasant, FL Volunteer Fire Department and Robertsville VFD provided water shuttles. As of 21:39 crews from all departments are still on scene. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
