As we continue introducing the incredible people who make TransitionOne what it is today, this introduction is a little more personal. Meet Christopher Warren Vandiford, our Vice President of Operations.

If someone handed me a resume that included a Master's degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, fluency in Mandarin, work with the United Nations in Geneva, writing on Asian market trends for The Economist, and experience underwriting venture debt for large corporations in San Francisco, my first thought would be: "This person is way overqualified for us." Now imagine finding out that person is your oldest son.

When Christopher and his brother Chandler were growing up, I always told them, "Don't become a salesman like your dad. Get a great education. Build a résumé. Travel the globe. Create opportunities for yourself that I never had."

They listened. Christopher built a career that could have taken him almost anywhere in the world.

Then one day he called me. He said, "Dad, they can pay me all the money in the world, but if I don't get to spend time with my newborn son, I'll regret it for the rest of my life." That conversation changed everything. On January 1, 2026, Christopher joined TransitionOne.

Yes, we spend our days talking about strategy and building a company that can serve dentists across the country. But the greatest gift has nothing to do with business. It's that I get to work alongside my son.

Every day, I get to watch him become an exceptional leader, a devoted husband, and an incredible father to his son. Sophia and I don't take that privilege for granted. It is one of the greatest blessings of our lives.

Will there come a day when a headhunter calls with an opportunity to lead a much larger company? Maybe so.

But until then, I cherish every meeting, every conversation, every challenge we solve together, because I know these are the moments I'll remember long after the business milestones have faded.

Christopher, we are proud of the man you've become, the husband and father you've embraced, and the leader who inspires those around him.

Thank you for believing in what we're building together. The sky is the limit!

We're officially halfway through introducing the incredible people who make TransitionOne what it is today, and next up is Kelly Salvatore.

About six years ago, Kelly asked to meet me at a Starbucks to discuss her receivables and credentialing business. I remember listening as she described how she had built a niche company from the ground up during one of the most uncertain times imaginable. She had no corporate backing, no safety net...just a vision, an incredible work ethic, and the courage to bet on herself.

I walked away from that meeting thinking, "Wow, I'm impressed."
What I didn't realize that day was that I wasn't just meeting a future business partner...I was meeting someone who would eventually become part of the TransitionOne family.

Since then, Kelly has become an essential part of our team. Her knowledge of credentialing, insurance, collections, and practice operations has helped countless dentists navigate one of the biggest decisions of their careers.

But what makes Kelly's contribution so special has nothing to do with credentialing.

She celebrates other people's victories as if they were her own. She gives more than anyone expects, then quietly moves on to help the next person. She simply shows up for others. Every. Single. Time.

Those are the people who quietly change the world.

I truly believe there will come a day when dentists throughout the Midwest know Kelly as one of the most trusted advisors in our profession.

But the truth is...Those of us fortunate enough to know her already do.

Kelly, thank you for believing in our vision. Thank you for standing beside us as we've grown. Thank you for your friendship to Sophia and me, your loyalty, your laughter, and for making every person on this team feel like they matter.

More importantly...Thank you for becoming family.

As part of introducing the incredible people who make TransitionOne what it is today, I'd like to recognize another key member of our team: Todd Blackmar, Esquire.

Todd joined TransitionOne in April of 2025, but I had known him for several years before that. From the very beginning, I respected his hustle, his integrity, and the genuine relationships he built with doctors, attorneys, lenders, and vendors throughout Ohio.
If you wanted to invite someone to dinner and laugh for two straight hours, Todd would be your guy.

His stories, humor, and ability to connect with people are gifts. More importantly, he leaves people feeling better than when he found them. In a world filled with stress and deadlines, that is a rare quality.

Todd's background is equally impressive. He served our country as a United States Marine and later as a JAG officer in Hawaii. His legal experience provides tremendous value to our clients, helping them navigate important decisions with confidence and clarity. When Todd speaks, people listen not because he is the loudest voice in the room, but because he has earned their respect through service, experience, and wisdom.

For me, however, the greatest gift has been the friendship.
One of my favorite conversations with Todd happens over and over again. He will say, "Chris, I'm so glad you took a chance on me."
And my response is always the same: "Todd, no... thank you for taking a chance on me."

That simple exchange says everything about our relationship. It is built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared belief that great things happen when good people work together.

People often ask me what I enjoy most about my work. The answer is easy. It is being surrounded by people who inspire me to be better every day.

Todd is one of those people.

Thank you, Todd and thank you, Amy Blackmar for becoming part of the TransitionOne family. We are blessed to have you with us, and I look forward to building something truly special together over the next several years.
